Perfect location for walks from the doorstep to Elterwater, Chapel Stile, Colwith Force, Cathedral Cave and beyond. A big draw was the enclosed backyard for the dog, which has beautifully maintained shrubs and flowers. It was lovely being able to walk through the woods to a great cafe, Chesters By the River.
We couldn't find any washing up liquid nor spare rolls of toilet paper, but that could easily be remedied. I'd book again in a heartbeat.

Great location for walkers with beautiful views. Beautiful garden with lots of birds to watch. Directly on the Cumbrian Way, which wasn't mentioned in the description but perfect for us. Very comfortable and clean accommodation and well equipped. Having a bath and shower was a godsend for aching walkers!
The power shower was great except it collected water in the bottom, so the drain must have been blocked. Heating controls were not very straight forward but very effective once you'd got them to work.

Finding the property was tricky the directions are vague and the sign to the property is small and worn.
