The cottage sits on a very pretty lake 2 hours north of Toronto. The property is close to the town of Huntsville, very close to the Rain Lake entrance to Algonquin Park In Kearney.
It offers an authentic cottage experience, with beautiful furnishings, and a lovely view of the lake from multiple decks. Nestled into the Almagiun Highlands, you'll find the lake, sandy beach and surrounding flora and fauna, a very special location.

Don's cottage is situated on a gorgeous lake, with the beach being a few steps from the cottage, where our dog and my husband spent most of their time swimming, SUP'ing and playing fetch. The cottage has a warm homeliness feel to it and has all the necessities, including a fire pit and hot tub for the cooler evenings. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

We have been vacationing at a cottage in the fall for the past six years.
We all agree that this was by far the best property we have stayed at!
The cottage vibe is cozy and warm! We felt comfortable upon entering!
The scenery of the lake and surroundings was beautiful!
Anything that you would need is there. Just bring your food and clothes!
Fishing was great!
Water access was easy!
Fireplace and hottub!
The host is very friendly and communication was excellent!
What more could one ask for!?
We will definitely be returning!

Thank you for sharing your family cottage with us. It was actually bigger than expected from the pics on the website. We could all hang out in the main room (living, dining and the kitchen) quite comfortably. The location was so peaceful, and the lake was nice and calm. Perfect for our paddleboard novices. Unfortunately, the sailboat did not get much action. The sandy beach with the shallow water was kid friendly as was the side deck with the Adirondack chairs where the kids could play without wandering. Our host Don was quite attentive and checked in to make sure we found everything OK. It was a great week with the family! Thank you, Monica
