A traditional, well-maintained farmhouse with an active farm. Nestled in the beautiful foothills of the Alps in the Chiemgau/Rupertiwinkel region, our isolated farmstead sits on a hill overlooking Waging am See. The farm is home to cows, calves, cats, sheep, and our dog “Heidi.”
Many well-known sights and destinations are just a short drive away. Some examples include: Salzburg, Berchtesgaden, Königssee, the Chiemgau Alps, Chiemsee, Burghausen, Altötting, etc.
Idyllic small swimming lakes in the immediate vicinity (Waginger See, Tachinger See, Weidsee, Leitgeringer See, Fridolfinger Baggersee, Höglwörther See) offer tranquility and beautiful hiking trails.
A leisurely bike ride or a challenging mountain bike trail up to the alpine pasture......our area features a diverse, well-marked network of bike trails. You’re welcome to store your own bikes in our lockable “Radlstadl.”

Arrive and feel at home. That’s exactly what you’ll experience in our Reserl vacation apartment. The decor, in a trendy mountain cabin style, is both rustic and modern. Highlights include the comfortable box-spring bed and the rustic reclaimed wood wall in the bedroom, the beautiful bathroom with a large Raindance shower, and underfloor heating in both the bathroom and the living and dining areas.Many thoughtful decorative details round out the cozy charm of this apartment. Two balconies (with a choice of morning or midday sun) and a stunning view of Waging am See and the Chiemgau/Rupertiwinkel regions will ensure you have an unforgettable vacation.
We, the Breitwieser and Eglseer families, are very fortunate to be able to live in this beautiful corner of the world. The first documented mention of our property dates back to before the year 1189. The farm has been in our family since around 1600. We are a typical family-run farm with dairy cows, forest land, and a farmstay.
