About this house rental
"Stüürmanns Huus" (the Helmsman's House) is a beautiful, new vacation home for 6 people (max. 5 adults) located directly behind the dike at Hilgenriedersiel, right next to the local natural swimming beach. It is tastefully and elegantly furnished in the East Frisian maritime style.
You enter the house from the east and first arrive in the hallway with a coat rack and shoe cabinet. Through the hallway door featuring an ice-flower pattern, you reach the living area with an open kitchen.
The country-style kitchen alone leaves nothing to be desired: It features a large induction stove with an oven, a microwave, ample counter space, a refrigerator and freezer, a dishwasher, a filter coffee maker and a Nespresso machine, a toaster, a kettle, and high-quality sets of dishes, glasses, and cutlery.
Adjacent to the kitchen is the dining area, featuring a modern oak table, an upholstered bench, and four armchairs. The living room is furnished with a large L-shaped leather sofa and a very cozy upholstered armchair. Here you can spend the evening reading, chatting, or watching the large flat-screen TV for entertainment.
From here, you can step out onto the spacious, furnished, southwest-facing terrace and enjoy the garden, which is landscaped with rhododendrons and newly planted fruit trees. Feel free to use the outdoor fireplace for barbecuing or to warm up by a cozy wood fire during the colder months.
Beneath the enclosed oak staircase leading to the upper floor is the fireplace, which you can heat with wood briquettes available at any hardware store.
On the first floor of the house, you’ll find one of the three bedrooms, furnished with a double bed, a spacious closet, and a TV. You’ll also find a large, stylishly tiled bathroom with a walk-in shower, a washer and dryer, and a full-size, partially glass-enclosed sauna. Finally, there’s a storage room on the first floor with household appliances, an ash bucket and shovel for the fireplace, and a wine rack…
On the upper floor of the house, you’ll find the other two bedrooms (one with a double bed, built-in closet, and the helmsman’s sea chest; the other with two single beds and a large closet). These bedrooms are also equipped with swivel-mounted flat-screen TVs. A second bathroom with a shower completes the upper floor. A Trip-Trap chair for children and a crib with a mattress are available in the house and can be used free of charge upon request and with advance notice.
Stüürmanns Huus is a smoke-free home. The renter is responsible for the vacation rental and its furnishings and must treat them with care and consideration. The renter is liable for any damage to the vacation rental and agrees to report all damage immediately to the Pro-Urlaub office. Parties and events are prohibited. Pets are not permitted.
The house includes one parking space. A wallbox can be used for a fee upon prior registration at the time of booking.
Free Wi-Fi is available (on-site registration required). We do not guarantee unrestricted availability or sufficient speed.
For this house, the minimum stay outside of peak vacation seasons is 5 nights. The house can only be booked for a maximum of 5 adults.
The neighboring houses are called Deichglück, Nordperle, Strandhaus Meeresluft, Strandmeerchen, and Waikiki, should you need more space.
You are welcome to add a laundry package as an option. This can be done during the booking process or at any time afterward for a fee.
