Villa Sol & Mar - Beach House

Great location and excellent hosters. Beautiful house to stay with family.

Geweldige locatie, op 10 minuten wandelen van het strand en 5 minuten van de supermarkt en restaurantjes. Centraal gelegen aan de Algarve-kust. Ruim huis met 3 slaapkamers en 2 badkamers voor een gezin met 4 kinderen.

De douche die bij de grootste slaapkamer hoort is wat te klein voor een volwassene. Daarnaast werkte er maar een van de twee verwarmingstoestellen maar dit was toch voldoende om het huis (in december) warm te houden. De eigenaar zal dit wel laten repareren.

lo unico que puedo decir para que mejoren es que haya productos para la lavadora, y aire acoindocionado en las demas habitacioens, pero por lo demas muy bien

This was a work trip. We liked the location because it was close to our project site.

The property itself was fine, but I would caution future guests about the extremely strict deposit and additional-charge policies, which were only presented to us on the day of check-in. The list includes charges for stained or damaged towels and sheets, €150 for extra cleaning, €100 for damage to small items and €500 for damage to furniture or equipment. We were also charged €300 for an additional person staying for two nights in an existing twin bed in a shared room (€150 per night). Most concerning, there were already damaged items in the property when we arrived. Fortunately, we noticed them, took photographs and immediately brought them to the host's attention. With such a strict deduction policy, guests should not have to inspect and document the property upon arrival to protect themselves from potentially being held responsible for pre-existing damage. I have no issue with reasonable house rules or security deposits, but policies this stringent should be clearly disclosed before booking, not on the day of arrival. The entire approach felt unnecessarily punitive and not at all guest-friendly.
