Garden City Retreat with Pool, Walk to Beach

I really have two ratings, one is for Sea Star Realty and one for the house. Sea Star Realty gets 5 stars for service. They are very nice and very responsive. When we arrived at the house the second floor was kind of warm. We thought it was because the air was not set right. We contacted Sea Star Realty and they sent someone out. He took immediate action. He went and got a portable air unit and set it up and got the up stairs cooling and comfortable. They had the heating and air company there that day and they addressed the problem. I had several other requests that I sent via text and they responded in short order. They also provide a credit with a company VaykLife where you can rent beach gear. We used it and it was a nice benefit.The house had some really good points. The location is great. It is an easy walk to the beach and it is convenient to the Garden City Beach pier area. The pool is very nice and my granddaughter loved it as well as the adults. My issue with the house is the first picture you see is the back of the house with the pool. In that picture it shows steps coming off the back of the house. Those steps have been removed so there is no longer an exit out of the back of the house. The only entrance and exit is through the front door. The kitchen is located right there near the front door. If something were to happen. There is only one exit. The house has smoke detectors but this is a show stopper for us renting this house again.

Great house, would definitely stay again.

This house is even better in person. The property manager/team were fantastic and checked in a couple of times by text to see if we needed anything. The pool is great and the backyard is massive, with a great family sitting area and more space with lounge chairs. Tall fence really made it feel private and helped with the dog. It’s so close to the beach. Will stay here again for sure.
