Barang Village Community Homestay

My stay at Barang Community Village was one of the most meaningful travel experiences I’ve had in Nepal. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed not as a guest, but as part of the community. The peaceful surroundings, lush jungle landscapes, and genuine kindness of everyone I met created an atmosphere that invited me to slow down, reconnect, and simply be present. What made this experience truly special was the opportunity to experience village life in an authentic way. Sharing meals prepared with fresh ingredients from the land, learning about local traditions, connecting with community members, and waking up to the sounds of nature each morning reminded me of the beauty of a simpler way of living. Barang Community Village is much more than a place to stay—it is a place to experience heartfelt human connection, sustainability, culture, and the wisdom of living in harmony with nature. I left feeling nourished, inspired, and deeply grateful. Thank you for welcoming me with such warmth and generosity. I hope to return again and would highly recommend this experience to anyone seeking a deeper, more meaningful connection with Nepal beyond the usual tourist path. The original idea of showing a world that we hardly know in Western Europe. It was amazing how simple but beautiful life can be. Thank you for letting me be a part of it ! ❤️

This is a wonderful concept - allowing you to stay in a small village and understand how Nepalese people and culture impacts everyday life. The fresh air, Mountain View’s and mountain streams are a break from Pokhara. We stayed 3 nights and had the best time - leaving as family!

The community in the village is so tightly knit, it feels like everyone is one big family. They took such good care of me. The food was great in which they let me get involved in cooking. The first day I was hands on helping farm corn in the terraces of the village. The second day we had a picnic with the community ending with some dance and singing. When the clouds cleared I had the most amazing view of the snowy, giant mountains. Kabi and his family were so welcoming. It was a great experience. It was inspiring to see how Kabi and his family are sharing and preserving their way of life at the same time. Wonderful and fulfilling experience.
