Location, comfortable and immaculate

It’s a top floor apartment with a large skylight. This acts like a greenhouse. It was 30° outside when we stayed but even hotter in the flat. No problems in winter, but with hot summers it badly needs aircon fitting. There was a small fan provided but it was inadequate.

Etwas laut. Der Boden war nicht sehr sauber. Da gehen alle mit den Straßenschuhen hinein. Garderobe für die Mäntel/Jacken wäre schön.

The location was incredibly convenient right on the high street near to shops, train station and public transport. Great for an intermittent stay. The property was clean for the most part, found some hairs in bathroom. The host had excellent communication with any question I had followed up with a phone call, thank you! I would say the property is great for shorter stays, and individuals needing a convenient place to stay. Teas, coffees, sugar, jam was provided along with toiletries, fan, hairdryer which is great!

The perk of being right next to the train station is also very much a disadvantage. The property is situated right next to the bridge where the train passes so every few minutes when a train passes you don’t just hear it you can feel the vibration in the property. If you are a heavy sleeper this may not be troublesome but if you are a light sleeper it very much is. Also, if you are doing work in the property during the day you may get distracted as did I sometimes. However, the host combats this with ear plugs; not ideal as travelling with a little one so eyes and ears need to be open at all times. Also this unit is at the top and has a skylight; not recommended for studios as there is no separate sleeping space from living space so of course light comes in early in the morning which woke me up prematurely. The bed wasn’t the comfiest either. An eye mask is provided but as stated I wouldn’t have been able to to use. Would be better if there was a shutter of some sort for the skylight. My sleep is most important hence the scoring as I didn’t have the best of sleep. Stairs no lift upstairs had a buggy so continuously going up and down the stairs with a buggy wasn’t the best. I would have appreciated a more complete kitchen utensils and items e.g. there were no bowls but it is a small kitchen so understandable, however, not ideal for longer stays. The TV is quite small. Another review pointed to it being a smart TV but outdated couldn’t have said better myself as not all streaming services I could find but the popular ones were there e.g. Netflix. In summary, convenient I would say ideal for busy people just needing a place to rest their head and not ideal for families with young children. I would personally sought a different studio near to station but not right on the doorstep next time. Nonetheless, it was an OK stay!
