Carcavelos Surf Beach House

Location was closer to the beach than any other properties nearby. View was beautiful! Apartment was exceptionally clean. Owner was totally accessible when needed.

It is a little farther from Lisbon than I expected, but that was my fault.

The property was close to everything I wanted.

The view, the proximity to the beach and cafes.

We didn't get a response from the hosts when we booked and they hadn't realised that we were waiting to be let in, so that was a bit worrying and we did have to wait outside. Thankfully, there was a shop across the road where we could wait.

There were 4 of us, the size of the apartment was perfectly adequate. there is plenty of storage space in the main bedroom. There is no air conditioning, but there are 2 fans available in the apartment. Infact, there’s a lot of things available in the apartment- iron and ironing board, cleaning agents and cloths, bin bags, shopping bags, towels, handsoap. Great location for the beach, and supermarkets are only 1-2 km away. There is a swimming pool nearby, but we didn’t bother going as the beach was perfect!The beach can be busy, but it is never overrun. We were able to park the car in an area at the front of the apartment where we didn’t have to pay parking charges. There is a small shop on the apartment block, but it did not stock a lot. There are a few restaurants nearby, fairly reasonably priced and great service. Sylvia is always available and responds quickly whenever you want to know something, either through booking app or phone! many thanks for an excellent holiday Sylvia!

nothing to dislike, I suppose I’ll just mention you only get one key so be careful you don’t accidentally lock yourself in! And you have to push the door forward when twisting the key to open the door - it took a few minutes to figure that out!! And even that is not a criticism
