    We arrived at a dark lobby. The staff did not even try to welcome us even though I have called ahead to let them know our estimated arrival time. We went to our rooms, the moment we opened the door to both our rooms, we were hit with a strong smell of mold. The floors were dusty and no indoor slippers provided. My husband’s room which he shared with my son had a headboard covered with dust and even cobweb. I have asthma. If I had stayed there so as not to waste my money, it would have ruined the rest of our 2 weeks holidays around Taiwan. So we decided to cut our loses, put our luggage back in the car and leave. Initially the staff told me the cost of 2 rooms for the 3 days I paid for was non refundable. After a few hours , they called me and agreed that the rooms they gave us was moldy but they can only refund me half of the cost. I hope they do something about the mold. I reason I booked it was other people’s review out it’s outdoor spa pool which we didn’t get a chance to see.

    The hotel and room facilities are a bit dated however we were being greeted a friendly and helpful staff. Nice view from the room and very comfortable bed.

    Ok I admit. I booked way too late. We got the last room. Ground level, facing the road without the window obscuring treatment it needs. Drapes yes but other rooms looked more opaque. So open in a fish bowl. These hotels here all cater to the bus tours. On Saturday May 2 there were 4 buses in. They “open “ the pools at 15:30-22:00 but, that meant the biggest cold pool, and two hot small pools. Later at night the more smaller pools with temperatures posted of 41 degrees +. I don’t know if they say “open” why are they not all open. The add on breakfast at an extremely high price was not of interest to us. The karaoke was a few meters from our room to the point where we had our tv on high volume. ( it shut down at 10pm) I will say the bed was ok, the room was clean. But I think there are nicer hotels in the area, just don’t wait too long!
