Wonderful base for cycling trip with multiple adults that is a little out of town. Be aware of cleaning fee
Large and spacious with enough beds for about 8 adults. Well stocked kitchen and we even had access to the garage to store and maintain our bikes.
It was a little old and dusty and the landlord surprised us with a cleaning fee at the end.

Warm, cosy, well-equipped, dog-friendly family house. Excellent value
Very large and comfortable house. It was warm, cozy and well-equipped. The two flats are connected but feel very separate. Perfect for multi-generational gorups. As others have commneted, the decor is a little dated, but that rather added to its charm. There is an easy walk don into town where there are plenty of restaurants (with reasonalbe prices for a ski area!). The ski station is about a 15 min drive (or free bus ride) away
Collecting the keys took some time because of telephone issues. I guess this is inevitable in a mountainous area, but I would suggest that there should be a default meeting time, or a key safe, so guests are not reliant on their phone and that of the owner having a signal at the same time. (In fairness, this problem was readily resolved with the owner and a very friendly neighbour, and the greeter was very apologetic when he arrived, but it is an added worry one can do without after a long drive) The house was 'holiday home clean' rather than 'hotel clean', (as I guess one would expect); it would benefit from a deep clean and some fresh paint here and there)

Teleurstellend, ouderwets, voldoet niet aan de noden van een modern vakantieverblijf.
Het huis is mooi gelegen, net boven Barcelonnette. Goed contact met de eigenaar na melding van een probleem met de douche.
Het huis is zeer ouderwets en basic. Er is amper iets aan veranderd sinds de jaren 60-70. Verf, behang, meubels, keuken, ... alles is zeer oud. De bovenverdieping was schijnbaar ooit ingericht als een aparte woning en is nog ouderwetser dan de benedenverdieping. Er zijn in theorie 8 'slaapplaatsen', maar daarvan zijn er 2 in een kleine 'berging' onder het schuine dak, amper 1,5m hoog en zeer warm in de zomer. De keuken is compleet ongeschikt indien je zelf eten wil maken : veel te klein en niet voorzien van moderne faciliteiten. Alles wat er staat, tot het servies toe, is uit de jaren 60-70. In de garage hangt een mazoutgeur.

Älteres Chalet in guter Lage mit Abstrichen beim Komfort.
Schöne Lage oberhalb der Stadt mit Aussicht auf die Berge. Große Garage für zB 6 Motorräder. Garten mit Sitz- und Grillmöglichkeit. Gut ausgestattete Küche. 2 Bäder und 2 WC's. Schöner Balkon vor dem Esszimmer lädt zum verweilen ein.
Die Erreichbarkeit des Gastgebers und des Vor-Ort-Betreuers könnte besser sein. Wir hatten Probleme bei der An- und Abreise. Nicht einmal ausgemachte Zeiten wurden eingehalten. Das Haus ist alt, die Einrichtungen ebenfalls. Es knarzt und quietscht. Die kleinen, flachen Betten sind für groß Gewachsene eine Zumutung; von daher nur für 4 Erwachsene zu empfehlen.
