Relaxing, beautiful little cabin in the woods.
All the beautiful trees, the cabin was lovely inside, very relaxing.
Nothing that can be fixed…my only issue was the driveway and how steep it is. I had to park sideways, I was scared my car wouldn’t hold its park.

Cozy and comfortable
Beautiful well maintained classic cabin, sparkling clean and with the basics for a family with kids, quiet area, no phone reception but has wifi which helps, cozy, beautiful view of the woods, and close to a lot of small towns and Calaveras Big trees state park, lake alpine and close to sno-parks for snowplay. Very quiet area during winter
Driveway is steep and narrow, it has a parking spot next to the street but we could not see it because it is really dark at night and it’s missing more signage and warnings for the narrow driveway. Beds were not comfortable for a stay longer than a weekend.

Good but could have been better!
Pros: Beautiful home! Great Location! Loved the fireplace. Nice having full kitchen and grill outside. Lots of space and fun activities to do inside the home. Lots of spare blankets and things! Very homey and peaceful, great for our quiet getaway, wish we could have stayed longer! Cons: Could have been cleaner. Loft bed was too cheap for a heavier adult to use. Other beds weren’t very comfortable. No blinds or curtains in kitchen. Driveway very steep compared to pictures. Make sure to bring your own laundry soap and coffee because none are provided! Bear box was full from previous guests so we took our own trash bags home to dispose of… not very convenient

The beds were comfortable and the surroundings quiet.
The lack of kitchen tools, old pots and pans bottom of all of them worn out (did not have a pot with a lid to make rice. The lack of bowls or serving dishes. Some of the pans had oil still in them and we had to wash everything we used in the kitchen. No bear box provided. We had to call the property manager when we arrived to clean up the mess outside left by previous tenants (bear tossed the garbage). They tell you after the fact that if a bear box is not provided, you have to take your garbage to the local waste station. It also has a pool table, but don’t expect to play a game. The walls are too close to the table. WiFi is ok, but we had to make sure we downloaded our maps before leaving the cabin. Murphys area had better WiFi.
