La Marteja

Abbiamo soggiornato in quattro in questo appartamento con due camere da letto, due bagni e cucina. La struttura era molto pulita, curata e dotata di tutto il necessario. Abbiamo apprezzato soprattutto la disponibilità e la gentilezza di Mario, il proprietario. A causa della cancellazione all’ultimo momento di un’altra struttura che avevamo prenotato ad Armenia, siamo arrivati a Salento intorno alle 2 di notte. Abbiamo contattato Mario su WhatsApp e si è dimostrato subito disponibilissimo e ci ha aiutato senza alcun problema, nonostante l’orario. Consigliamo assolutamente questa struttura, sia per l’appartamento, che ci è piaciuto molto, sia soprattutto per la cordialità e la disponibilità del proprietario. Ci siamo trovati davvero bene!

Great cozy place, hammock in the bedroom was a wonderful touch. The room and living room all had a nice touch, great views, ease of parking on the street or in a lot. Clean spacious place, secure and wonderful amenities.

Nothing really, everything was great. Maybe local coffee in the kitchen would be a great touch.

HOT WATER for the shower! I'd been all over Colombia by this time and this is the first hotel/aparthotel that had hot water. One block off the main street. The unit itself is relatively new. Mario is a great host; very attentive. Lots of attention to detail. He even helped me get a ride back to Pereira when my taxi was a no-show. Wifi was great in the living room but not very good in the back bedroom.

The neighbours, whose unit door is right beside this unit, decided to have a party on one of the nights I was there. Banging, screaming, singing, all with their unit door open, plus the units share walls. I finally contacted Mario and he called them and asked them to shut it down, which they did...at 2:20am. Noisy until about 10pm - dogs barking, you hear every noise from the street (and it's a busy street)..this renders the front bedroom almost useless. It does quiet down overnight, though. The living room area has barndoor-like doors to the outside, so there is always a cool draft coming in the house. The walk UP to the plaza is very steep. If you are unfit or differently-abled, it will be difficult. Lots of black mildew under the caulking around the sink but otherwise spotless.
