We had a wonderful stay! The location is peaceful and surrounded by nature, with no neighbors nearby, which makes it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The view is beautiful, and the whole place was clean and well-equipped.

The location is a photographer's paradise. It is remote enough to get this 'back to nature' feeling, but Varazdin is a bigger city with all amenities in 15 minutes reach. The house is tastefully decorated, all the furniture, the decorations reflect another century, while you get all the comfort of a modern accommodation. Useful info for finding the place: there is a narrow macadam road leading through the forest to the house. This road is not indicated on any map, not even on the tourist map applications. So here is the easy way to find it: driving from Varazdin, there are two main roads crossing the village. One goes up the hill, one goes through the settlement in the valley. Pick the lower one in the valley (Mozdernjak), drive through the village and leave behind the last house. The macadam road is on the left when you reach this lat/long: 46.22845169313658, 16.37782255088425 . I attached the photo of the intersection here.

October is pretty much the last month when I would rent out this place. The heating is AC based that quickly heats up the bedrooms upstairs, but the warm air lifts up and as a result the AC does not make much impact downstairs. You can use two mobile heaters downstairs, or use the fireplace, but the later comes with a smokey smell, and you don't want to leave open fire alone in a wooden house. So due to the huge window surface, the downstairs area will cool down quickly at night. You can live with that, but it is certainly a weak point during the winter months. We notified the owner about our exact time of arrival, but they did not heat up the house. Arriving with a toddler to a 15 Celsius cold wooden house after a long drive wasn't the best welcome impression. Yet, we overcame this and the rest of our stay was really nice.
