Log Home on Leader Lake- Quiet and Beautiful Sand Bottom Lake, Swim Fish Paddle

Absolutely loved our time at this cabin! I enjoyed walking around the property, from the cabin to the fire pit to the water, barefoot. It felt wonderful. And I saw and heard my first loons. So cool! The cabin is clean with plenty of space for everyone. I really liked the log dining table and arrangement with the kitchen and upper living room. Everyone could hangout while doing different things. I tried to spend my time looking at or being on the water as much as possible. My husband and son fished all day. We used the paddle boards, canoe, and peddle boat. Great chairs at water and fire pit.The water was wonderful! Clear and cool, not cold. We saw fish swimming near the shore, and a turtle that came up and then dove back down into the lake. There were deer who walked by each day, an adorable chipmunk, and one morning I was walking on the deck and turned a corner to find a hummingbird right in front of my face.I drove into Minong each morning for an iced latte at Boondocks. The grocery store Henson's has Jack Link's products at a great price, the perfect snack for hanging by the water. FYI If you ever take your pillow with you to hotels, bring it here. They weren't terrible, but I would have liked my own. The shower water can be a little odorous when using hot water. I prefer cooler short showers, so it was fine with me, but my kids were sensitive to it. We were there during the week and it was so quiet. I will be back. But the highlight for our kids was the owners hidden treasure hunt! He buried coins around the property, and the kids spent hours using the metal detector to search for them. It was such a unique and memorable touch that had everyone smiling.Our family spent nearly a week enjoying everything the property had to offer—paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, and simply relaxing by the lake. The setting is peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect place to disconnect from the busy world and reconnect with family.This trip created memories that will last a lifetime. We absolutely loved our Labor Day weekend at this cabin. This was a perfect, quiet getaway for ourselves & two young kids. The view is beautiful, lake is quiet & cabin had everything we needed & more. We were also near restaurants, coffee shop & convenience stores. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful quiet lake. Easy access to waterfront. The only issues I had were having trouble finding the key box outside and having to walk downstairs to the bathroom. We enjoyed our stay and would go back.
