Since thirteen hundred sixty-six of old,
These sacred oaks have weathered storm and blast;
Within these walls, where ancient tales are told,
We found a home, a refuge from the past.
Fair Dunster’s charm did bless our wanderers’ heart,
A timeless peace did soft our days embrace;
Though on the morrow we must now depart,
Our joyful souls shall linger in this place.

Character, cleanliness, superb equipped kitchen. In the centre of a beautiful village, very close to shops and castle. A lovely cottage wth beamed rooms and medieval roots. Grateful the inside was so cool in the middle of the heatwave. Special mention to The Stage Inn across the road, warm welcome, real ales and hearty pub grub - very good value.
Outside space limited but we were only there 3 nights so didn’t bother us

The Oval is full of character. Everything is done to a very high standard to ensure a comfy stay. This is the second of this set of properties we’ve stayed in and we were delighted again. The staff are always great. They were very helpful and flexible.
