It was a historic chateau, being renovated.lovely building and very charming. I loved the way that it was very relaxed with the owners horses and dogs and our dog was able to roam freely.
I was surprised that we had paper cups in the bedroom to use for water or tooth brushing, rather than glasses. Considering it was an expensive hotel, the little things make a difference. There was also no wine choice or list. The wine was very good, but at 130 euros a bottle and no choice, some people would not be happy. Also, the cheese board was dry and hard, I love cheese but most was inedible. Dinner for two was 500 euros with wine.

Elegant, charming and beautifully restored. Swimming pool was especially lovely.
Nothing.

The breakfast was fresh and varied and to big for us to finish. Location was perfect for us being close to a main town but in the countryside being about halfway into our journey so it ticked all boxes.
I wish we had allowed more time to really absorb the chateau.
