Rose Cottage

The property is so lovely, the carpets have been replaced and the beds are so comfortable. The location of the property was perfect for going to Windermere and for surrounding areas. The pub along the road is walking distance and the locals are so friendly. The small unique details within the property like board games and leaflets of what’s nearby was so lovely. We tried to extend our stay but the property was booked up. I will definitely be back.

The directions from booking.com are not the best. The picture of the front of the property is not what you see from the roadside. The property is on the main road opposite howgill cottages but you turn off the main road opposite these cottages left or right depending what direction you are coming from and it is the second property in.

Very clean throughout the property! Equipped very well. Warm and welcoming. Owner left fresh milk for tea and coffee. As well as chocolates for the kids.

Parking is bit tight due to road works. But managed to fit my car just in front of the house.

The cottage had everything we needed, but the TV was not good to work.

TV did not work well.

Good location for visiting areas in the Lake District

There were number of trips to do leaflets, bus timetables etc but lots of them were out of date by years could just do with a sort through
