About this chalet rental
On a private, wooded lot, this chalet home is perfectly located in the year-round Wintergreen Resort. We’re less than a mile to the main ski lodge, restaurants, and market. In the winter months you can enjoy a view of the mountain ranges as you relax by the wood stove in the two-story great room. During warmer seasons enjoy a hike on the nearby hiking trails, a swim in the resort pool, or a picnic on the large front deck. New AC window unit in living room in July 2022.
The space
The house features solid hickory wood floors, new kitchen appliances, a custom concrete countertop, 50" flat screen smart tv, and wireless internet.
Sheets, towels, utilities and firewood are provided free of charge. Dogs may be allowed by prior agreement only; extra fees and deposits may be required.
UPPER FLOOR: There is a private bedroom with a queen-size bed and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower in the enclosed loft area. This room features a vaulted ceiling and beautiful views.
MAIN LEVEL: There are 2 private bedrooms and 1 full bathroom (with shower/tub) on the main level. One bedroom features a queen bed. The other has two twin beds.
Guest access
Guests have seasonal access to two resort outdoor pools and tennis a short drive away from the house (one on the mountain, one in the valley). If golf is your sport, you can enjoy a round of golf, which is located about a 15 minute drive away in the Stony Creek neighborhood part of Wintergreen. Lots of nearby hiking, including a trail right from White Oak Drive; the Appalachian Trail is a very short drive, as are many hikes along the Blue Ridge Parkway, just a few minutes away. Great breweries, food, wineries, a cidery, distillery, all within a half hour.
Other things to note
As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow, ice, some foggy days, and some occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The mountain roads can be icy and could be dangerous in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and/or ice during these months. This means 4-wheel drive/AWD, good tires, and/or chains. We cannot give refunds due to weather.

Outstanding stay!From the moment we booked, the communication from the hosts was amazing... quick, kind, and truly helpful. The home was incredibly clean, and it was obvious they had thought of every little detail, from makeup wipes to a local bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived.The house itself is beautiful and felt so comfortable and welcoming. We enjoyed our time so much that we’re already planning to come back this summer and again next Thanksgiving. Highly recommend staying here!---

I've stayed at dozens of vacation rentals and we own one. Never had to start out my stay by buying coffee. They didn't even provide the first morning of Joe for us, so I had to hustle down to the overpriced on-site convenience store before they closed! Later we found out they provide no laundry detergent either. Really cheap IMO.Property is obviously a cash cow that is not maintained very well. The sliding door handle fell off twice, the master bedroom bed sags in the middle (we both got backaches from it), chipped and peeling paint everywhere, rickety outdoor furniture...the best I can say is that the resort itself is nice. I'd recommend Wintergreen but this house is not worth it.
