About this cabin rental
Lumberjack Lookout is the perfect base camp for your next adventure in the Smokies. Less than 3 miles to downtown Gatlinburg, 4 miles to the national park and 6 miles to Pigeon Forge. And we welcome dogs with advance approval, so the whole family can enjoy vacation together!
Lumberjack Lookout (formerly Big Sky) has been fully refreshed. Check out this list of improvements:

This 2-story cabin entry is on the first level where you'll find a game room with sleeper sofa, king bedroom, full bath with walk-in shower and stacked washer/dryer. The king bedroom also has a desk and chair, just in case someone needs to do a little email checking or homework (but we sure hope not!)
When you walk up stairs, the first thing you'll notice is the soaring wood ceiling and beams. It's a very spacious setting for dining, watching TV or just playing a board game.
The kitchen offers updated stainless steel appliances and plenty of counter space for meal prep. You'll find nice quality cookware, bakeware, dishes and silverware. See the photo of the huge selection of hard anodized cookware!
The second king bedroom is on this level of the house with an attached full bath (tub/shower combo). Like the entry level's bedroom, the mattress is identical and super comfortable for a great night's rest (new May 2022). Both bedrooms have a large flat screen TV, too.

NAME, AGE, BREED and WEIGHT

Agree to bring a crate for when your dog will be alone
Agree to pick up & dispose of waste properly
Pet stays are $125 per dog. The VRBO listing says dogs must be under 50 lbs but we will make an exception for well-mannered larger dogs.

Had a great two day stay. The two story cabin has everything you're looking for including black bears..! All the amenities you could ask for and then some. I really appreciated the quiet nature of the neighborhood and the wonderful deck to enjoy coffee in the morning and a cocktail in the evening. Also, Jen is the best host, super responsive on anything!

(5/5)This cabin was everything we hoped for—peaceful, scenic, and full of adventure! The location is truly special, tucked away in the mountains with incredible views and a real sense of seclusion. We had several bear sightings during our stay, which made it feel like a true wilderness experience. The host's communication was outstanding—clear, timely, and super helpful. We felt well-prepared and supported throughout our stay. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and well-stocked for a comfortable escape. Highly recommend if you're looking for nature, privacy, and great hospitality.

The location of the cabin was great and as advertised! Jen our host is absolutely amazing with communication! If you are looking for more secluded area this may not be the area for you. It’s close to everything but has some neighbors close by and depending on who is there staying it could be a chance of after hour noise level. When we contacted Jen she was prompt with helping us to resolve the issue.

Let me start out by saying Jen was amazing. Great communication, no problems getting into our cabin. The cabin was beautiful. It had most everything we needed. A few things- there were no cleaning supplies, & no detergent for laundry (which we were told there would be). The pool table was non-functional. The cue sticks were broken (all but 1) and the pool table was in bad shape.
Our refridgerator stopped working our 3rd day there (we were only there 4 days), this would not have been a problem if it wasnt for Thanksgiving. We came to see the Turkey Bowl & was hosting a large dinner after the event. We ended up throwing out around $600 worth of food. Apparentally the fridge quit the day before & we did not realize it until the next day. We were told maintance would not come out because it was a new fridge. They did refund us $150, we ended up buying 3 small coolors just to put drinks in and ate out. However there was many others coming to eat which did not work out at all. We lost so much money on this trip. The hot tub was great.
