Good sheets, they keep bathrooms clean, attempt at good design, people working there are cool

not the hostel’s fault, just a caveat: the town itself has a highway running through it, and although it is countryside, you sleep to the sound of cars. I had to use earplugs.

Excellent location 10 mins walking distance from bus stop. The hostel is in a newly refurbished historical building separate from the main building and reception. Accommodation is clean, tidy, comfortable,very spacious and beautifully presented with well equipped kitchen, dining areas, terrace, library and large social area. Lovely staff. The main building offers a restaurant and bowling alley. Walking distance to the central historical sights, lovely artisan shops, cafes, restaurants, bars etc. The are some great walks to ( mining museum, castles, church ) and wild swimming areas ( reservoir lake ). A very special place to stay. There is plenty to do here for three days.

Strangely guests were spread out into different rooms and not grouped all together in one room. When a guest left the bedding was left and not changed despite another guest sleeping in the room and a new guest arriving. That's the only thing I can think of! Really a very special boutique hostel .

I had a very positive experience at Sotel Cosmopolitan. The facilities were superb — much more like a hotel than a standard hostel. Everything was clean, modern, comfortable, and very well maintained. I was especially impressed by the excellent value for money and the great service provided throughout my stay. The overall experience was excellent, and I would definitely recommend staying here.

As a small suggestion for improvement, it would be helpful to provide more detailed instructions for guests arriving late at night. The address provided for key collection, which is also what appears on Google Maps, leads to the front of the building and not the narrow and dark street on the back where the entrance was. It was not easy to find the hostel sign located at the back entrance, and having clearer guidance or signage at the front would make the arrival process easier for new travelers. Apart from that, everything was great and I truly enjoyed my stay.
