Foliage around the property is beautiful; meals, although very very expensive, are good and high quality
Loads of false advertising. Access to spa amenities (sauna/steam room) needs to be booked through Resort Pass. This was sold out for entirety of our stay and staff told us the workaround was to book a $300 massage. Yoga location was incorrectly advertised, leading us to miss the only session. Dogs were allowed IN THE POOL, which was gross. Place is advertised as having 2 heated pools— every person who got into the pool remarked at how freezing it was. When I told staff, they suggested I use the hot tub instead.
There was dog waste on the gravel path around the back of our cabin. WiFi was incredibly spotty. I shared my feelings about all of the above with guest services and there was nothing done to make our stay better.

The Cabin and spa
The staff were rude and sassy, didn’t like the way they treated us

The restaurant. Top notch.
For the price of the hotel, I’d expect perfection. The two bedroom cabin (216) was oddly set up w a vanity almost blocking the door, walking into a bed and awkward sitting space. I went into 215 and that room didn’t have the same issues. The chairs on the patio were broken, the electrical line hanging so low that my child was able to grab it. The toilet was leaking. This isn’t what I would expect from a hotel of this esteem. Also, it sucked having the best part of the hotel separated by the highway. With two little kids, it was nerve wracking to cross every time we wanted to go over.

Beautiful and well maintained
Walls were thin and guests in neighboring unit were loud late night and early morning

Great location, wonderful restaurant, friendly staff, lovely being in nature and so close to River
For such a high price and what you get for it, feels a little overpriced. No amenities, no breakfast or coffee, no lunch available onsite, restaurant closed 2/3 nights we were there, no full bar at pool. A lovely property with friendly staff but not the best choice if you’re looking for a romantic vacation - more family/big group friendly. There was a tech company doing an off site while we were there using the public spaces, which took away from the romantic and peaceful feel of being in nature. The only free amenity while we were there was nightly s’mores (which were fun and delicious!) but the tech bros had taken over the entire fire pit area so there was nowhere for us to even sit. Checkout was at 11:00 am and cleaning staff was hovering by our patio by 10:59 am waiting for us to leave which felt a little over the top considering the property was practically empty on a weekday morning.

It was our first time coming back after the flood. We wanted to splurge and get one of the cottages. We didn't realize we'd have to run across the busy street every time we wanted to come to the main property... it would have been much more pleasant if everything was on the same plot of land and not across a busy street. The fridge in the room was also extremely small.
the food and drinks were great but insanely overpriced. Also would have been better if the main pool (in the sun) was available during our stay, we were told we couldn't use it.

Charming cabins amidst the giant redwoods! Directly on the Russian River with kayaks available. The pool was nice. Fairly quiet property with a lot of families. The Lodge restaurant was convenient… we had a wonderful dinner!
The Meadow cabin interior space is tight!

Delightful boutique rustic chic property. Clean, great location, comfortable, nice amenities and a fantastic restaurant and bar!

The location was perfect, a short walk into downtown. The property was just beautiful, very well kept. The cottage was really nice, perfect in fact. The staff from check-in to groundskeeper and cleaning staff were all very sweet and friendly. Very charming property, I will be making plans to stay here in the future!

Beautiful, calm, nice interior, Le Labo products
Bathroom was a bit cold, the heater didn’t really reach it

Attractive facilities, very friendly staff, quality restaurant, cozy bar, simple but attractive and well appointed rooms, and walkability to Town huge plus. I’ve been coming here for over 20 years through various iterations, and it just keeps getting better as “the” place to stay in Guerneville!
Be sure to ask if you’ll be staying in free standing cabins onsite or across the street at sister location that’s been acquired. We were initially disappointed to have to run across the highway and being down the road from the onsite facilities, but ultimately it didn’t prove to be that long a walk or big deal despite being an initial disappointment and surprise.

Everything was beautiful and nice from the front desk people to the spa experience. We also loved borrowing the bikes and riding to Armstrong Redwoods National Reserve. The flowers and landscaping are also beautiful on the grounds.
We didn't love the morning coffee in the tea bags.

They have added a private dock for river access & guests also have pool privledges across the street. Restaurant was wonderful -
The cottages are small, option only to hang clothes, no drawers at all.

incredibly expensive for a tiny room--extremely over priced--even for a holiday weekend

We stayed at one of the cabins with a little outdoor table, which was great to hang out in the evening and enjoy breakfast. Everything was very clean. It was perfect for a relaxing weekend :)
There were no surfaces (dresser, table, chairs, something) that allowed for both of us to unpack our stuff for the weekend. Not a big deal, just a minor inconvenience.

The tree's, location and cottages bedding.
The check in area needed more signage, kinda difficult to find when first arriving.

Quaint ,friendly staff for the most part, great location with good outdoor space and a good bar when its open.
Rooms/ Cabins too small, beach access advertised but pretty limited to say the least, food and resturant service way below par, made a reservation as soon as we got there, went back for dinner and the gentleman that took the reservation couldn't find it but seated us anyway.

The location was the biggest bonus. They had AC which was absolutely necessary in the scorching heat. The breakfast was nice and the surrounding redwoods were beautiful. Nice bathroom.
Room was no bigger than a big tent and there was no lay space. We had to put everything around the floor, like we would in a tent. For almost $500 a night with taxes, fees, etc. it was not worth it. We could have gotten something a little farther away with more space and AC and private bathroom.

Staff was amazing. Friendly and helpful. Cute little cabins have been updated and modernized. Love all the little extras: free breakfast pastries delivered to your door. Luxury binoculars for birdwatching. Etc.
Loved it!

Great location, we enjoyed walking around right before and after dark around the property. Well lit and had a nice atmosphere
our ac unit wouldn’t produce cold. So we ended up sleeping with the windows open all night

A bit pricey for one night.
