Serene location with sweet mountain air, dark nights, slow sunrises, lush & rugged landscape. Reasonable drive to pretty much everything from 30min - 1.5hrs. This is an overall comfortable and nice vacation home.
The downstairs bed mattresses are 5/10. Downstairs sofa is uncomfortable. Swap master BR huge TV with the smaller living room TV. Living room chairs are old and cushions slip off (bad velcro), and no footstools. Would be much better and inviting as cozy space with a couple of chairs-and-a-half.
Kitchen needs cutting boards and a way to sharpen knives, new skillets that don't trash the glass stove top with each use. We hand washed dishes all week....our usual practice, but at check out per request we loaded the dishwasher but it wouldn't work for us.
The outdoor gas grill needs to be turned on even when the fire logs are turned off. April is grill season!...as is most of the year sans mid-winter.
Night temps 3rd week April are still in the high 40s / low 50s. The fire logs should be available....especially in the mountain setting. Felt like a tease to have them there and not usable.

The cabin was clean, with lots of space. I liked the simple and modern design of the home. It was cozy and for early spring had a decent view of the mountains. The neighborhood the cabin was in was nice and quiet, some beautiful views as we went up the side of the hill.
The cabin was closer to neighbors than I would have liked (but was not able to see in the pictures for the property) with windows and the hot tub facing neighbors. We had to keep the bedroom curtains closed at night and the bathroom curtains as well. The view was decently crowded with trees and if it was high summer I don’t think you would be able to see much. The bed was not a very comfortable memory foam mattress- might be on the older side but I know how a bed feels is subjective. The tv remotes might need to be replaced as they worked only every other or every 2-3 clicks- there was one that worked slightly better but still frustrating nonetheless. We couldn’t get any of the ceiling fans to work either- no working remote or wall switch seemed to turn them on. There were nice auto curtains for the living room big windows but 3 of the 4 panels worked. Helped either way with afternoon sun if we wanted the living room to stay cool. As a small aside, we went when there was a big dip in temperature (at night it got close to freezing for 2 of our 3 nights and barely got above 55/60 degrees for two of the days) it would have been nice to use the fire place in the living room but since their policy is from April to September or so the fireplaces are closed. Since we went only the second weekend in April and with the mountains often getting colder more often perhaps circumstances could allow exceptions or wait until May for their closures. Just a suggestion though.

No keys, keycode on door, WiFi was good, very quiet
No lights working on the back of the house, where the keycode box is located, more lights out in the house, master fan and TV remote doesn't work, dirty dishes in dishwasher, water feature pump is very loud and about to go out, 2 hours late on check-in, because they were still cleaning.
