Casa da Portela

Great hosts, they were kind and friendly. The facilities are beautiful and have everything you need. The homemade meal in the evening was delicious. Location is at the top of the hill but they offer to pick you up in town.

A casa tinha tudo aquilo que era necessário à estadia e era muito pitoresca. Gostamos do espaço exterior, onde pudemos fazer agradáveis refeições. Os anfitriões eram muito prestáveis e o pequeno-almoço foi o grande ponto de destaque. Tudo caseiro e preparado com carinho.

Não existem persianas e os estores eram completamente ineficientes a proteger da claridade, o que resultou em despertares prematuros. Para quem é sensível à luz pode ser um desafio.

We had an exceptional stay at Casa da Portela! The hosts went above and beyond from offering to pick us up from the Camino trail (Literol route) to dropping us off at the boat to Spain the next day. The space was clean and comfortable with beautiful light and super cozy place to rejuvenate and reflect to close the Portuguese chapter of the trail. For some, the stairs ladder may be difficult but this was not a problem for us. Would absolutely stay here again if I ever have the chance to return to the Camino! Highly recommend!
