About this apartment rental
Farmhouse complex with 4 beautiful apartments on a hilltop not far from Lucca. The stone farmhouse sits at 600 meters altitude and offers views over the surrounding countryside with chestnut forests, and steep wooded mountains. It is a little paradise from which one can hike all the mountain trails and visit the historical cities of central Tuscany. Gallicano with all facilities is at 10kms, Barga is at 18kms and Lucca is at 50kms. Firenze and the seaside at Forte dei Marmi are an hour’s and half drive away.
This hay-loft (Capanne 4) is separated from the main house and can be reached by a path to the left of the cottage that leads directly to the open gallery of this apartment. Since the path is a bit steep, we do not recommend this apartment to elderly persons. Instead, it is ideal for young couples on their honeymoon because it is separated from the rest of the cottage, and the open gallery offers a magnificent view of the century-old forests of the Apuan Alps.
From the gallery one can access the living room. Also here there is beautiful fireplace and a bed couch. The dining table is close to a door that opens up to the terrace. In a corner created by the wooden staircase upwards, is a fully equipped kitchen.
At the end of the stairs is a double bedroom, with a window door to the upper terrace, and a window where the original, typical windscreen bricks have been preserved. In the bedroom, a door leads to a small fully equipped bathroom. The apartment is genuinely beautiful with the old stones that appear here and there on the surface of the white walls.

Our vacation at Le Capanne Holidays House felt like days in paradise. For two weeks, we didnˋt feel the need to leave this wonderful place. We found our host, Daniele, to be extremely friendly, uncomplicated, and communicative , who was always available to answer any questions we had. The entire complex is lovingly maintained and in excellent condition.The beautiful, spacious, and heated pool was cleaned daily by Daniele and is perfect for a refreshing dip. Our cozy, detached cottage with its wonderful covered terrace offered us a spectacular view every day. Thank you so much for letting us stay with you, Daniele :-)

We were blown away by the beauty of the place. The scenery is breathtaking. Being able to swim in the pool whilst looking at mountains is very special. Daniele is a great host, collecting us from the nearest town and showing us the way. The cabin is perfect.

The place was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. We jumped into the big pool every single day and dried ourselves in the sun with a stunning view over the mountains :) . There were many hikes to do around the area, we also went to the sea for a beach day. Cities like Pisa and Lucca are also well reachable by car. Spending a day at the apartment was however the most relaxing, with beautiful views from the terrace and cozy evenings by the fire side, there was nothing missing. As a bonus for my partner, we encountered no big spiders, everything was well cleaned before :)
Daniele also was a great host and made us feel very welcome. We are definitely planning to return.
