About this cottage rental
Our relaxing and comfortably furnished gite has been converted from the barn attached to the side of our Maison de Maitre. It is west facing, providing amazing sunsets. It is situated on a very quiet country lane, and looks across a field towards the estuary. Nestled in a tranquil area, ideally situated on the Gironde estuary, in the SW of France, halfway between Bordeaux and La Rochelle.
Strictly no smoking, including e-cigarettes both in the gite and around our property for the benefit of everyone. Sorry we do not take pets due to allergies.
The Gite
The gite is spacious with an open plan living, dining and kitchen area. Upstairs are two bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a double bed and a single bed. Bedroom 2 has two single beds. A travel cot is available if required.
The shower room, comprises a shower, sink, toilet and bidet.
In front of the gite is a parking space and small garden with a patio table and chairs.
The rest of the garden wraps around the property to the rear and extends to 6 acres in total, which is where the pool can be found.
The Pool
The pool is 1.43m deep all over and has wide steps leading into it.
It is surrounded by fields and vines, with a view towards the private chateau in the village.
It is in full sun all day.
Seating and relaxing areas are all around the pool and on the patio.
The pool is solely for people staying in the gite and the owners.
A BBQ is also provided as well as various garden games. .
A baby travel cot and high chair are available. If required.
We only have the one gite, so there are no other families to share the pool and outdoor areas with apart from ourselves occasionally, although we like to give you private family time as much as possible.
We understand a lot of French to be able to communicate with you, or you may wish to practice your english with us!
Please note our property is for sale and if a viewing is requested we may need to show prospective buyers the gite. We will give notice of this and endeavour to keep it to change over days wherever possible. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Charming house located in a very beautiful area. The place is very quiet and relaxing while being well located for visiting the . We really enjoyed our rental, the beautiful garden and the swimming pool. The owners are very friendly and very discreet, available if needed. Thanks a lot for the good time.

Super friendly hosts receive you and help you with whatever you need.
Beautiful house and garden with very clean pool.
Very quiet region but within 30 minutes you can visit different towns and the sea.
We’ll come back.
