I don’t even know where to start with how great this property is! The house is incredible. It has been lovingly restored (with great attention to detail) and is FILLED with the most beautiful antique furniture you can imagine. We spent the Racing Festival of the South weekend with our two adult children and two adult grandchildren and had more than enough room for everyone! The beds were super comfortable and the location was perfect! Very close to shopping and restaurants downtown but far enough to be quiet and unhurried! The house is stocked with everything you might need (even a tray of goodies)! The hosts went above and beyond, even getting out Saturday night of our stay to unlock the door when we inadvertently locked ourselves out! There is a lovely little courtyard with grill (we didn’t use but looked great) and a wraparound front porch if you care to just sit out and enjoy the smell of lavender bushes! We have stayed in many properties both in the US and abroad, the Myrna Loy house is probably the most unique home we have ever had the pleasure of staying in! It’s worth the trip just to see the house! We sure hope to return soon!

Our family enjoyed this truly unique home in Hot Springs. The location was close to everything we wanted to see. The hosts were very responsive. The home was like taking a trip back in time; one can tell a that a huge amount of TLC went into this historic home. We hope to stay here again in near future.

We loved our stay at the historic home in Hot Springs and would highly recommend it! My family has stayed in historic homes before, but this house was definitely the best. It is an historic show home you are getting. First, Joanna and her family own and run this house. If there is anything you need during your stay they are very responsive and accessible. It is clear that they have put a lot of effort and thought into updating and maintaining this home. They were committed to making sure my family’s stay was enjoyable and we were treated like honored guests. Each room had its own thermostat and in July during our stay we were cool and comfortable. There are a lot of lights, fans and switches. All the switches are labled for ease of use. All the beds were comfortable and had very nice linens to sleep on. The lights, toilets and faucets all worked great. And I add that only because in every historic home I have stayed in before there seems to always be something that just doesn’t work. But this house was the perfect blend of period specific architecture without sacrificing modern conveniences. We lacked for nothing in the house and enjoyed exploring it for the history it represented. We used the kitchen and dining room everyday. Anything you need to make a gourmet meal is in that kitchen. The utensils were all “first class” as is the rest of the house and its furnishings. The gas stove and refrigerator were modern and of high end quality. There is a lot to explore and do in Hot Springs. This house is close to the strip, a short drive to the Casino, shopping, hiking and mountain biking. But my family enjoyed staying in this historic house the most during our stay. You won’t be disappointed and we were pleasantly surprised. We are very thankful for Joanna and sister Susan for sharing this wonderful home and their dedication to our experience. If you’re bringing your family, you will make some great memories here.
