    Check in was frustrating. Staff was hard to get a hold of. Room was not clean, had to have them change the bedding as it was stained. No shoe policy was annoying since the provided slippers fell apart and were slippery on the floors. They contacted us about a leak in one of our villas, said they were on their way so we waited to let them in, but they never showed and we wasted several hours of vacation time. Sadly, I cannot recommend this hotel.

    I was here on a look-see trip ahead of a move. Loved the grounds and the location. Only knock was lack of hot water in sinks - necessitating the use of the kettle to warm the water. The shower was ok. I am told that is common in Panama though - so it might be more of a function of the Country rather than the hotel!

    Victor, the Manager was so gracious and accommodating, it did feel like home. My room was large and beautiful and all the staff were so friendly. I will always stay here whenever I visit Boquete.
