Casa Mimosa

This was a trip to celebrate my 50th birthday. We were supposed to be there the first week of August, but ended up going the last week of August. Susy had arranged for a driver to meet us at the airport and he had a sign with our name on it. Upon arriving in Positano, we were met by Susy, who walked us to the apartment, while porters transported our luggage to the apartment. It was still very hot the last week of August and the sea water was perfect. The apartment has a washer, which once I figured how to operate it, came in very handy. There isn't a dryer, but the drying rack on the balcony was perfect. The refrigerator had a few bottles of still and sparkling water upon our arrival, along with a bottle of champagne. The location was ideal. Probably the best location in the area. Everything we needed was within walking distance. The beach was incredible but be prepared to pay daily for beach chairs. We went to the beach every day, except for 2. If you have sensitive feet, be sure to take water shoes. This is not soft sand, but volcanic pebble. Our water shoes came in handy for sure. The port is right there, so if you want to take the ferry to another town for a day trip, it's super convenient. We took the ferry for a day trip to Salerno (highly recommend it) and the trip took us up and down the entire Amalfi Coast. The one thing is that this apartment is in a key photo op area, so be prepared to have a lot of people outside of the gate when you are coming and going. We were able to prop up the lounge chairs on the patio to cover the small area where people would be able to see onto our balcony, but honestly- it wasn't a big deal. We really had the best view of Positano so I can't blame folks for wanting to take pictures right outside our gate. It is beautiful, beyond words.

There wasn't anything to dislike. There are A LOT of steps to get to Casa Mimosa, but that was known before hand. It's Positano, of course there are going to be a lot steps, It definitely helped us get our workouts in during the trip.

Very good location and nice apartment. Everything was so clean and comfortable. Nice views.

Susy the host was great! She met us at the car park and walked us up the room. Everything about this place is a 10/10, from location, to views to the room itself. We will be back!

We were met on arrival by Susy (the host) who helped us with organising the luggage porters to take our bags to our apartment. The apartment is incredibly well located and has all the comforts you need for your stay. Susy was terrific to deal with both before our stay and when we arrived.
