Beach vacations are meant for bare feet and sunshine smiles! Bare Feet Retreat is a Destin vacation rental that inspires just that. This multi-level home is located in Destin’s Crystal Beach neighborhood, across the street from the beach. It features multiple balconies with beach views, spacious living accommodations, comfortable bedrooms, and a 9'x16' private pool in a paradise setting. The home has six bedrooms and five and a half baths. It can entertain up to 16 guests ready to relax on the beach.
Guests will immediately fall in love with this picture-perfect oasis. The home is surrounded by a curated landscape of green grass, palm trees, and tropical plants. Its blue and white exterior balances beautifully with the coastal environment. Ascend the front steps and step through the entryway into a stunning foyer with an open, spiral staircase. A set of three archways beckons you into the cozy living area. Three leather couches and a white accent armchair create a casual seating ensemble. The setup faces a flatscreen TV mounted above a fireplace. You will find a glass-topped table in the sunny dining room with six chairs and bench seating. One of these is the master suite, which boasts a king-size bed, multiple glass doors leading to the wraparound balcony, and a luxury bath with a walk-in shower and soaking tub. Three of the rooms on this level are guest bedrooms. One has a full-size bed, while another has two queen-size beds and a sleeper sofa. The third room is a unique bunk room featuring two floating twin bunks with industrial-styled ladders and railings. A bonus den includes a queen-size sleeper sofa. The final guest bedroom is located in the fourth-level loft. It has two twin beds and access to the romantic balcony overlooking the gulf.

We had a great time during our stay. The house was big enough to give everyone some privacy, but there was also plenty of room for us to gather and spend time together. The only downside was the beach at the closest access (barracuda) was "private" so we had to walk down to the next access for the "public" beach section.

The house was impressive, heard a few kids passing by describing it as a "mansion". Also returned from the beach once and there was a family taking pics of themselves on the front steps. Thought it was very pricey for a property on directly on the beach. Didn't look like pool maintenance had been done from the previous occupants, the pool guy guy showed up on the second day of our stay. Also was annoyed by the fact that bathroom doorknobs weren't working properly and the ice maker frequently jammed,
On a more positive note we had an electrical issue once night( lights flickering ), made a call to management, and a technician showed up in about a half hour. Turns out it was an issue that had nothing to do with the house. The response was impressive since it was the 4th of July holiday week.
It was enjoyable and the whole family had a great time.

The house was nice and big. The cleanliness of the house was not the best at all. The floors look like they have never been cleaned. It needs a deep clean. Even though the beach access is across the street you still have to walk a ways to set up in a small area roped off. The doorknobs were hard to turn in the house. There was no potholders and only 2 kitchen towels. I wouldn't recommend this house to anyone. It needs more storage in the bedrooms. We had to put clothes on the floor. It is very warm in the house with a few box fans that they gave us so if you like it cold at night this house isn't for you. With the amount of money we spent for one week I felt duped for sure. I didn't sleep good because it was so warm in the house. Will never stay here again. Whoever cleans needs to do better. Even the couches look old and dirty.
