You will find the 6-bedroom sunset villa at the Coral Estate Resort, an exclusive resort in the middle of 400 hectares of unspoiled nature and directly located at a three-kilometre long coastal strip at the Caribbean Sea.
It is a beautiful resort that offers its residents a carefree and safe living pleasure, thanks to 24/7 security protection. It also has several facilities such as two restaurants, a spa and a diving school.
Hato International Airport is a 15-minutes drive away and Willemstad is approximately 25 minutes away by car. In the close proximity of Coral Estate, you will find the pristine beaches of Cas Abou and Porto Marie.
Sunset House is beautifully situated directly at the Caribbean Sea and at a 7 minutes walking distance of the beaches, dive sites, restaurants and wedding venues of the resort. Its location offers the wonderful experience of a sub-tropical ocean environment. The sounds of birds, palm trees and waves, accompanied by the warm sunlight and a pleasant breeze.
Early in the evening the sunset throws a magic spell and at night, observing the night sky, one will see the Moon, several planets, and the Milky Way stretching itself from horizon to horizon.
The family that bought Sunset House started this dream two years ago. They recreated the original House while respecting its unique heritage as being one of the first to have been built at Coral Estate. Now you are invited to share in the dream, waiting to cradle you in the comfort of the traditional island atmosphere you deserve whereby all rooms enjoy climate control.
Sunset House offers a tranquil, informal and relaxed setting, where peace and quiet is the order of the day. You can make yourself at home at the large pool area or find meditation at the private seating adjacent to the caves where the waves roll in. The pool-terrace, while looking out over the cliff, offers an idyllic sea view. You can discover dolphins and sea turtles that frequently swim by. Also, you can watch pelicans, frigate birds and ospreys searching for fish. Hummingbirds and many other birds visit the garden in the early morning and late afternoon. Although the garden is still being expanded, its fruit trees offer a fresh delight of self-grown figs, lemons, guava, etc.
Or you can relax at the friendly and private setting of the porch or enjoy the serenity of the large romantic patio. The outdoor ‘tower dining-room’, next to the family kitchen, is the perfect spot for food and drinks. Because of the shutter doors and windows, the wind regulates well throughout the whole villa.
Sunset House is close enough for you to enjoy many excursions and attractions of your choice which include walking tours and hiking trails along the seashore or in the bush (‘kunuku’) of the former plantation ‘Rif St. Marie’. In the ponds you will find flamingo’s feeding.
These trails have their start at the edge of Coral Estate. Further out, you can visit many other nature reserves or travel to Willemstad to discover its historical and present treasures.

We stayed as a group of 7 for 8 nights, and had the best time. We spent a lot more time at the house that we had planned because the house itself had so much to do. Pictures do not do the house or its view justice. Sunsets from the outside area were amazing, and it had many options for outdoor seating, which is perfect for a large group. There is only AC in the bedrooms, so it was a bit warm in the central parts of the house, but leaving the doors open to let the ocean breeze in helped a lot. The kitchen has everything you will need for cooking, and is plenty big enough for if you were to book a private chef. We used Robin Housen and he was great!! Book him prior to coming to Curaçao. The house is located in a gated neighborhood that has a resort, we ate there a few times, snorkeled, and scuba dove there. It was very nice to have a place to go do during our less busy days, and had crystal clear waters. I definitely recommend staying here if you plan on coming with a group ranging from 6-12!!

Fantastic vacation spot with close proximity to world class shore diving, and beach opportunities. Nice town for shopping.Sunset house has a beautiful ocean front location with plenty of room for our large group. Pool professionally maintained and perfect temperature for both cooling down and relaxation. Nice very functional kitchen. Unfortunately, Noom, the property management company is not good.There was no hot water in the main bedroom for entire 2 weeks. A first repair person arrived 2 days after we first called and didn’t have correct key. A second repair person next day was able to get water barely lukewarm. No response from Noom on the problem after that. Simply ignored.Smoke detector went off in the middle of the night. Called Noom and they asked where the detector was located so it could be fixed. Never heard from then again, so we checked the other rooms. A couple of rooms had a functional detector, several had none, and several had non-functional detectors without batteries. Not sure what the laws are in Curacao but why have them if they don’t work?Several of the cutting boards were actually moldy when we arrived.In Curacao renters generally pay extra for water and electricity use. Two weeks after departure, still no word from Noom, so we sent an email requesting the bill. Noom replied that they would send it early the next week. Nothing then happened for 6 weeks, when we finally received a statement.Bottom line: Fantastic property poorly managed.
