Sylvestre et son équipe nous ont accueilli avec un sens de l’hospitalité vraiment formidable. Nous avons été heureux de participer aux nombreuses activités que propose l’hostel. Ieden et Priva ont été des guides très professionnels. Tous nos remerciements à toute l’équipe. Nous étions comme avec notre propre famille. La cuisine est authentique et très bonnes, merci à Noémie et Anna avec qui nous avons fait les cours de cuisine. L’hostel est très confortable et très propre. Un lieu hors du temps au bout du monde qui mérite une étape de deux nuits minimum. Découverte de la culture chaga assurée. Merci à vous tous!

Tout était parfait

It is an adventure going up to Materuni Homes and the views from the rooms are beyond spectacular of Mount Kilamanjaro. The staff was exceptional and the hike to the waterfall can be done from the hotel as well as the coffee tour which is right there! They organized a lovely guide for me to walk to the waterfall with.

Loved how it is located up the mountain, secluded and in the village. Pretty comfortable villas. Sylvestre was the nicest of hosts. Perfect views of Kilimanjaro, exactly like on the image if you’re lucky & the mountain decides to show off. Close to the falls, walking distance from hotel. The food was good.

The shower drainage could be better and also never enough hot water for showers. The internet could be better.
