Everything! Dominic and his staff were excellent hosts. They are extremely kind, generous and welcoming and always make sure their guests are well taken care of. Dominic makes time to talk with his guests and provide any information one may need. River Mopan down his property is a gem to behold!
Nothing. It is a truly beautiful place!

Everything! It is a beautiful and magical place! We stayed in a few different places throughout Belize and this was definitely the highlight of our trip. The staff were amazing, the room was so lovely and clean and the food was wonderful. So many birds and other animals to look at, along with a gorgeous farm and gardens.
Nothing! Everything was perfect.

I love the location. This is perfect place to getaway, relax, and have a peace of mind. The sounds of birds all day is like being in a fairytale movie. Friendly dog walking around, and just listening to nature is so relaxing. The manager Dominic was amazing from beginning to the end, and very informative.
Walls are thin.you can hear everything from next door

What a tranquil and beautiful place Nabitunich is! Located on a lovely farm and only a 15 minute drive from San Ignacio. From the farm about the tree tops, we were able to see the top of the Xunatunich ruins. We chose to stay in their rustic cabin as it was spacious and had a full size fridge. The accommodations were simple and clean. The daily breakfast was delicious and quite filling. We had their dinner our first night there as it was late venture out. It was simple but delicious. Beers and drinks are available for sale from their community fridge. We loved falling asleep to the crickets and waking up to the roosters and to Magnolia, their dog, sleeping on our porch every morning. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and Dominic, the owner, grew up on this eco friendly farm and is very welcoming, a great conversationalist with much knowledge of many things and of course the area.
All good.

Dominic’s welcome, advice and conversation. Beautiful property and grounds.
We were travelling without a car. At first we thought this would be a problem but it wasnt! On Dominic’ssuggestion,we walked from Nabitunch through the fields and along the river bank into the local town in about 30 minutes. Here there are coffee spots, a good lunch place ( Bennys), an adjacent bakery and well stocked supermarket. The Mayan ruins are across the river and just another mile of walking but uphill so best visited early, when cool.
We also took a taxi to Belize Botanic Gardens which is a lovely quiet place. Worth taking a guided tour.
Dinner was great value.
The bed was smaller than other places we stayed at in Belize.

A unique place with beautiful grounds overlooking the mountains to the west in Guatemala. A family business, a very nice family. I'd stay here again.
Shower was not up to par, which happens to be super important to me as I spend all day in the jungle and come home a dirty mess who needs a good shower. Food service is a little disorganized.

Quiet, remote, local culture, breakfast, kind staff
More rustic than expected even though I read and reviewed the property thoroughly. Was still fine and did not hinder our stay at all. Picture of bathroom would be more transparent. Also picture of cottage layout with room numbers would be helpful for booking a specific room location.

The property grounds are magnificent.
This is family run and the preservation of the land and business is very important. We were extremely grateful to be welcomed and share this land and experience.
What a beautiful spot. Thank you to you all!!

The location was outstanding for birdwatching and nature. The people were all friendly and helpful. The room was large and had everything we needed. Go to the local Botanic Gardens and 1000ft falls.

We were greeted by Dominic, he is the owner and a super nice guy, very helpful and knowledgeable. This property has been in the family since 1917. Rebecca, his wife, responded to my email questions prior to arrival.
Breakfast honestly was a lot of food some days.
The grounds are stunning and beautiful. The plants, wildlife, and mother nature operate in great synergy, at this location. This property is just stunning. Wake up to multiple roosters, crowing, howler monkeys, holwing, then watch the leaf cutter ants work. This was our first morning.
Cabins are definitely for basic nature lovers, no frills. Having worked for USDA in the USA, this is a nature lovers paradise.
We used a ride share service. Eddie was our driver, he was very friendly and helpful. He was available to take us to and from our scheduled outings, drove us into San Ignacio for dinner, shopping at the market, and arranged a day trip to the Tikal ruins in Guatemala.
Property is very rustic. The cabins we stayed in were definitely for nature lovers, no frills. Personally I think a few upgrades and basic comforts, etc, chairs in rooms, are needed.
Scheduled a cave dwelling adventure they canceled because they over booked. At the last minute it was canceled because the caves were flooded.

Dominic and his team know how to make guests feel instantly welcome and ensure they want for nothing! Breakfast and dinner were always freshly prepared. Dominic took a genuine interest in all the guests and is incredibly open-minded. He organizes everything that's requested! The location of the accommodation can only be described as "excellent"! Situated outside of St. Ignacio with a view of the Mayan ruins. It's a small farm where dogs and roosters play. In the mornings and afternoons, a few horses ride across the meadow. You can easily walk down to the river and observe iguanas, or hike directly to the ferry for the Xabitunich ruins! We had a truly fantastic time there! Thank you so much!!
Nothing to complain about

Breath taking scenery. Serene all nature and beautiful.
Plumbing issues with the toilet and the shower continually dripped. Hot water was not available first day. Constant odour in the bathroom near the toilet. Mattress was too small for the bed frame, family members fell off twice.

Domenic, the Owner, was very friendly, responsive, and helpful. We arrived in the dark and he came out with a flashlight to help us move into our room. Beautiful farm/tropical environment with thousands of butterflies, hummingbirds, other birds, and all types of plants and flowers. Very close to Xunantinich Ruins. Breakfast with good coffee is great each morning. Azteca restaurant nearby was good too for dinner on our way in.
It was a little hard to find in the dark, and the road in is a narrow dirt road and full of potholes. We were not sure we were headed to the right place, but trust Google Maps - at the end of the road is a really cool place to stay! Some of the rooms have adjoining thin walls (we could hear a guy coughing and snorting next to us), but others are stand alone. We would book a separate one next time.

I loved the location, the staff was friendly and excellent. The property itself was super beautiful and breakfast was good. Dominic was very friendly and I really enjoyed talking with him. all of the staff on the property was very kind and welcoming and overall I did like my stay.
My only gripe was that my room shared a wall with another room, and I heard absolutely everything they were doing. The first night they were laughing loudly for hours making it hard to sleep.
Another day next morning I heard a different couple having sex at 5 AM waking me up, which is not pleasant for a relaxing vacation. I say this because I didn't get great sleep either night because of the noise. If you are in room 1 or 2 you will hear EVERYTHING going on in the next room. I had to turn on my TV to drown out some noise but that can only do so much. Other than this, my stay was excellent

Very tranquil and picturesque. Surrounded by lots of plants, flowers, butterflies and birds. Cabins were basic but comfortable.
The road to the property was unpaved and rugged.

All the staff were wonderful and made great accommodations to fit our needs (vegetarian food and an extra bed), the area was beautiful, and the food was delicious. Dominic and family were kind, super interesting, and we loved getting the chance to know them. Their dog, Magnolia, was super fun to play with and our family loved it.

The place is very very nice, the garden is amazing with different kinds of plants, flowers and birds.
The staff is very friendly and welcoming, Dominic even came to pick us up from our shuttle.
Breakfast is good too! Of course the place is not right in the center of San ignacio and there are no shops or restaurants around but we knew it when we booked.

We enjoyed our time here. The breakfast was a great bonus, we really enjoyed tasting the local cuisine. The staff was great and we appreciated the friendly hospitality. The location was perfect for enjoying the jungle, sounds of the howler monkeys, and being close to town and the Mayan ruins at Zunantunich.

Would give 15/10 if I could. In my top 5 stays ever. I was wondering if staying out of town might be an issue but once I was there I didn’t want to leave. The view is to die for and I was up at 5am every morning to sit out and watch and listen to the birds and howler monkeys. A great walk along the river to xanuntunich. Dominic is a wonderful and kind host. Evening meals are simple but yummy and amazing value. Breakfast is awesome. If it’s available book. You won’t regret it

The property is a farm and is walking distance to the temple out the back gate along the river. The extras like makeup wipes and shampoo was very nice. Watching the sunset at night was great. Especially loved the great conversation at night with the host. Such a knowledgeable well spoken kind man who makes you feel at home.

this was a lovely place to stay with very hospitable hosts Dominic and Rebecca. The location is set amid a farm with views of Xunantanich in the distance. It was a relaxing place and Dominic makes the dinner! Enjoyed talking with the many guests visiting this very laid back place.
If you don't have a car, it will be more challenging to get around to the places you want to go, especially if you have a larger group that requires more than a car. We ended up taking transfers or double taxis with our group of five, which was more expensive than just renting a minivan.

Wonderful place to stay! Breakfast was delish!! Travelling without a data plan, we knew the location by address, but passed right by it, as the sign wasn’t visible as we were riding…stopped at the gas station just past the entrance, and they directed us back!

The staff were very friendly and engaging. The property was very rustic but charming at the same time.
Signage to get there. Road sign is good but we wondered if we were on the right track given the road is more of a farm lane. Maybe a sign midway indicating Nabitunich ahead?
