We went back here again as we enjoyed it so much the first time. Such a lovely family, who welcomed us in. Delicious food, they even cooked us chicken in the ground. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Nothing. It was amazing

If you are looking for an authentic Jordanian stay SAFI KITCHEN HOSTEL is it!! We chose Safi because we were wanting to connect with people on our trip as well as discovering the beauty of this magnificent little country. The family that own and run the hostel and farm have honestly stolen our hearts! Our first night there was when the war started and they were SO protective over us. We were invited to their mother's house for dinner as they did not want to leave us alone. It was the best "family dinner" we've ever experienced. About 30 people sitting on cushions on the floor eating traditional chicken and rice dishes, getting to know each other (even when there was not much English spoken or Arabic on our part). Our room was clean, modest and comfortable. Everything we needed, with hosts that have an overwhelming gift for hospitality. The area is rural and the farm is so peaceful (even with fighter jets and the the odd explosion in the distance). We felt 1000% safe and even a sense of peace being with this family. After dinner we sat outside around a fire and chatted with more relatives learning about each other's lives and cultures. Earlier in the afternoon, Rashid, one of the son's, took us on a guided hike of "Wadi Al Hasa" a magnificent gorge with a river running through. Absolutely gorgeous!! I cannot express the gratitude and genuine connection we made with ABDUL, HANA, RASHID, THEIR BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER AND ENTIRE FAMILY!! Our short stay at Safi Kitchen Hostel was an absolute highlight of our 2 week trip to Jordan. I must add that Rashid and the family kept in constant contact with us throughout our trip, on our way home and once we arrived home as well. This unexpected booking choice has given us a new family in Jordan and we are eager to get back and visit them again. Shoutout to my Jordanian son, RASHID and beautiful sister, HANA ....
EVERYTHING WAS FANTASTIC!

It was good to stop on the road from Amman to Aqaba. The Accomodation is located in the middle of a farm which is a really nice location. The owners are really nice and like to share about their culture and it was fun to meet all the brothers and the uncle. The room was spacious and clean and a nice rooftop terrace with a view of the mountains and fields. Also the food was delicious and we recommend the dinner, but wish for more transparency in that regard (see below)
Although the dinner was delicious, we were given no choice if we wanted it, it was just prepared when we arrived without our knowledge or consent and the cost of it added to the bill and no one told us about the cost. Although it was delicious and homemade, it felt pretty pushy and honestly scammy to just make it and not speak to us about it or the cost (10JD per person). Ask your guests about the dinner and tell the price before, or if the dinner is mandatory, just state it on booking and include it in the price! Also the price of the breakfast was not communicated to us either and honestly we feel the price is too high as we got more rich breakfasts for less money in other accomodations in Jordan many times. We were on the end of our trip and therefore on a budget and what was supposed to be a cost effective stay on the road ended up to be one of our most expensive stops in Jordan as the price in the end was double of what is shown on booking. Also we have to say the bed was not comfortable at all (way too soft, 2 people always end up rolling to the middle) and the blanket was too small for 2 people.
