Das kleine Haus hat eine sehr gute Lage. Zum Strand und zu den Ausgrabungsstätten von Populonia sind es ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Von der Terrasse aus haben Sie einen Blick auf die Bucht von Baratti, Sonnenuntergang über der Bucht inklusive. Man hat viel Privatsphäre und Ruhe, da das Haus etwas abseits vom Wohnhaus der Familie liegt.

Die Ausstattung mit Küchenutensilien könnte etwas vollständiger sein.

We spent 3 nights in Apartment Maurino, which is a charming cottage standing alone a short distance away from the owner‘s farmhouse. We enjoyed the idyllic location, next to olive groves and vineyards. The cottage was a short walk away from the Cove of Baratti with a nice coarse sand beach. There were many walking paths in the area, for example to the Archeological Parks of Baratti and Populonia (with interesting Etruscan history), and the hiking trail from Volterra to Piombino runs along this coast. The cottage was simply but adequately furnished, with a very comfortable bed, and good quality towels and linens. The closet contained a supply of additional pillows and blankets. The house was immaculately clean. The kitchen had a good selection of cookware, and an adequate supply of dishes and cutlery. There was a ceramic cooktop, and a microwave. The TV had various satellite stations; the Internet worked well. The communication with the owner was excellent. He met us at the property and provided some tips about the area. We enjoyed our stay here.

We had an amazing stay! The location is exceptional—just a short walk to a beautiful beach, and the sunsets from the house are absolutely stunning. It’s a very quiet and peaceful area, perfect for relaxing. The house is spacious, cozy, and well-equipped with everything you need. The owner is fantastic—very friendly and always willing to help or find a solution if needed. We felt very welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. Highly recommended!
