Tack Room

A beautiful place to stay in a small, quiet area, lovely views, walks and people. As a family of 5, including our dog, we all had a wonderful time staying at the tack room. There is a lot to do if you have a car, as everything is a good way out but the local walks are lovely. If you like peace, nature and space this is the place for you. We took outdoor toys, bats, balls etc, to keep the children entertained whilst out the accommodation and they enjoyed walking around meeting the hosts and their pets.

There's no cover over the hot tub. Mind the low beam in the main bedroom as my partner hit their head multiple times, may need a sign putting up.

Peaceful location to unwind. Really nice looking property from the outside. Fantastic hot tub. Beautiful views at rear of the property. All mod cons that you need.lovely and clean. Fantastic location for country walks.

The location is beautiful set in quiet rural Lincolnshire with walks on your doorstep and a pub/shop 2 miles away. The host met us on arrival and we’re on site if you needed them. It is 15 min drive to Louth or Market Rasen and then Lincoln and the coast about 45 min away. It’s not close to busy life but that’s the point.

Sadly, a few elements weren’t as luxury as the property and this detracted from our overall experience; 1. There was no kitchen cleaner, rinse aid, kitchen cloths, tin foil or cling film and there was only three dishwasher tablets and 2 extra toilet rolls for two of us for a week. We shouldn’t have to but we had to go and buy all these items. There was also only one tea towel so had to wash it after day 3- yes, we had to buy detergent as well as there wasn’t any! 2. There are no shaver points in either bathroom, so we couldn’t recharge our electric toothbrushes-again we had to buy a normal ones. 3. The bathroom towels were awful. Old, scratchy and one was discoloured from bleach. We had brought our own for use after the hot tub but we used these after showering instead. 4. No smart TV for streaming or accessing apps so had to put up with a very limited choice of programmes. This might be ok in the summer when you can be outside more but not in February! 5. You had to put your drink on the floor if you sat in the chair near the stove as there wasn’t a small coffee table in the living room! We tried moving the trunk box under the TV but it was too heavy. This room also had very poor lighting-a bright reading lamp would have been great so you could read in the evening. 6. One of the side tables in the main bedroom had had a previous repair but this was now damaged so we had to swop it for one from the other bedroom. We enjoyed our stay but are unlikely to be book again.
