Motel 6 Buena Park, CA Anaheim Near Maingate Knotts

Walking distance from Knott's Berry Farm 2 thumbs up. The room space was nice. Hair dryer, fridge and microwave availability.

The clean shower towels and the bathroom walls had hair. The comforter was very thin. The bed's were very uncomfortable. The 2nd room I booked, smelled like cannabis.

We arrived at the hotel. Our linens were stained. We asked for new ones those were stained. Also we had to go to Walmart and buy our own comforters and pillows. Then to realize our shower didn’t even have a shower curtain on it had to wait till the morning.

We did not stay We checked in around 3pm and checked out around 9pm same day.

When we arrived the lobby smelled of marijuana. The man behind the counter when we checked in was nice. On the way to the room there was an exit door barricaded and locked, draw your own conclusion there. I was thinking that will make it more difficult to exit the building in an emergency and it is possibly a fire code violation. The room smelled of some kind of industrial cleaner that made it hard for us to breathe. I checked the room for "BBB" and when checking the bed we noticed little specks at first I suspected bugs but it wasn't. It was little specks of what looked like paper maybe cardboard something shiny like glitter possibly a cardboard box got run through the laundry with the sheets they did look washed but covered with these little particles. The room looked clean just old, lots of repairs done poorly. The paint on the walls looked clean and possibly recent. The paint on the doors was very thick it looked like it has been painted over to many times and made the bathroom door hard to close. The room has a nice Refrigerator, TV, and AC that worked. I sprayed half of a can of Febreze to make the room tolerable then we went out. When we got to the lobby to go out, there were approximately 6 police officers in the entrance right in front of my car in a scuffle with a person allegedly on drugs. They eventually contained him and cuffed him. The parking lot was blocked with police cars, fire trucks and an ambulance so we walked to our destination. A few hours later we returned to our room and the industrial cleaner smell was back and was making us sick. We knew we couldn't stay there and decided to go home and when we went to check out all we said to the man at the office was we would like to check out and his response was just give me the keys that was it very rude. I gave him the keys and we left.......The statement made above is just my opinion and should not be used to make judgement of this fine establishment or it's staff.

It was cheap

There was a empty water bottle when I arrived. The hand soap in the bathroom was opened. There was a wet rag hanging in the bathroom. The floor was dirty and the bed was dirty as if the room wasn't cleaned. The bed had some brown stuff on the sheets and it wasn't a old stain you could clearly see the crust on the sheet

The room was clean and spacious

The property had a water leak and I had to walk through smelly water for two days before they moved us rooms.

The only thing I liked about the property was that it was right across the street from where we were going, which is Knott’s

The property was filthy right outside. Our room was soaked in pee, three doors, two door doors before mine was all soaked so three of the rooms. The hallway was soaked and pee from the dogs that they allowed. Then they tried to clean it and they made it even worse.. they didn’t go and clean up the room while we were there. There was stuff left behind from someone else that was there so obviously they didn’t clean the room.

We chose this location because it is across the street from Knotts Berry Farm, walking distance to the park. We were there specifically to attend the last night of Knott’s scary farm.

The first room we were given, upon opening the door we found it had not been cleaned. There was hair extensions on the floor and trash everywhere and it was a mess. We immediately went back to the front desk and told them that the room hadn’t been made up yet and the employee gave us the key to the room next-door which had been made up, but it was still not very clean. We kept finding human hairs everywhere - all over the blanket, beds, even on the shower faucet. The baseboards in the bathroom were stained with what appeared to be dried blood. The walls and baseboards throughout the room were dirty with greasy smears and shoe scuff marks. Because we were only there one night we didn’t say anything about the hairs and the stains, but we definitely will not be staying there again. I understand you get what you pay for, and for a room under $100 on Beach Boulevard in Buena Park this level of filth is probably par for the course. These issues are not impossible to address, it can simply be resolved with more thorough cleaning. Perhaps invest in better vaccums?

They told me that they don’t have my reservation despite me showing the proof and the Indian guy at the front desk said to me “no name here on the screen no room now go “ There were couple more people that had the same situation going on

The price and location

The bathroom light was flickering. Paint was chipping off the walls. And the customer service chech in was disappointing. No personality, just do their job, and that's it.

I liked the lights behind the bed, added nice lighting to the horrible room

Room and one of the blankets smelled of urine. Many of the sheets and towels were stained. The wall had some disgusting marks and a strange substance on it. The floor was dirty and needed a mop and sweep. The wifi wasn't even working in the room nor did the staff provide me with the password. I had to go look at a paper at the desk. I asked the front if I could get a new room but he said "what do you want me to do, you already checked in for half an hour now." At least offer me new sheets or give me options.

Great Location. Everything within walking distance. The staff very friendly. The room had been partly renovated. Why the shower curtain rod which had rust on it and also the cover for Kleenex were not exchanged is a mystery.

Housekeeping did not clean well. It got better after I complained but surfaces in bathroom and room were not cleaned properly.

We had to sleep on top of the beds because the sheets all where dirty with hair and even a shoe print. The beds are super hard. The microwave was filthy and there was hair in the bath tub and toilet paper wads under the sink. The lock in 1 room was broken and the bathroom light in one room would not stop flickering. My husband has seizures and had to stay in the other room due to the light.

Extremely close the knotts berry farm, you can literally walk there. IHOP next to hotel was awesome! The room was big. Tv worked, fridge worked :) good lighting (many choices of lights )

The sheets did not look clean. The floor was not mopped. The towels were very old. Pillows and blankets did not smell like fresh linen. Bathroom outdated. Tub was not the cleanest.

I did Not appreciate having used cigarettes in a non smoking room, already smoked and wet. Horrible odor in the room with a pvc pipe to lock the window. Broken air conditioner, holes in the bathroom walls and door. Dirty fridge, stained towels. Not good at all

I didn't like the hotel it was dirty so was my room. There was so much big dogs barking all night. Homeless people everywhere walking around and hanging out. Women coming in and out of rooms with men. I didn't feel safe with my kids there at all. The bed sheets were dirty with dog hair.

Different people coming in and out of the neighbor's room like if they were seeking drugs. I booked my room for 2 nights. I only stood one night in the morning I turned in my key and left a day early. I had to go book a room at a different hotel because we didn't feel safe

From the outside it looked very nice.

We were going to Knott's Berry farm. The hotel was nice looking from the outside. However, We were not able to check in at 3p.m. they told us our room was not ready and that it would not be ready until later that evening and that we could check in when we got back from the park. When we did check into the room around 10pm, it was horrible! It looked like it had been the scene of a murderer. There was blood spatter on the curtains, drops of blood on the window sill and on the floor. You could see red stains where they tried to clean the blood out of the center of the room. When we pulled the cover back on the bed the sheets had hair in them, they were dirty, stained The cover had blood on it. It was disgusting and filthy. We couldn't even shower because the tub was gross. On the inside the hotel is old and outdated.

When we first entered the room it smelt like someone had just smoked in there. The mirrors had water stains, walls and floor had stains. The side of the bed had crumbs. They told us the rooms are always cleaned but this room was absolutely disgusting. The first 5 minutes of being there my fiancé and I were already looking for other places to stay at.

Very dirty. Upon arrival, flooring was very dirty, no one swept. The motel smelt funky. Bathroom was missing shower curtain. The motel’s exterior looks very tacky and is surrounded by very strange people.

Nothing to like about this hotel, the rooms were disgusting and not clean, the staff was not friendly. Called down to front desk and the employee just let it ring. Sam and Vicky were rude and not accommodating. The housekeeping staff were nice, Alex the maintenance man was very nice

DIRTY ROOMS! The rooms smelled of pet urine. When asked to change rooms Vicky from front desk stated they were booked up and maintenance could come and place a fumigation machine to get rid of the smell. Leaving us to be out of the room for 2-3 hours. Which should have been taken care of prior to check-in if the rooms was cleaned thoroughly. When bringing this to management(Sam) attention, he said nothing could be done of our experience and this is a pet friendly hotel so this will happen. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!

This Motel6 is a great value for staying walking distance from the Knotts park. There's also Medival Times and pirate themed dinner theatre nearby. It is clean and has renovated, nice rather large rooms. Loved that there was a microwave. The staff was great, huge shoutout to Vicky for being kind and going above and beyond.

The pillows and bedding could be comfier/warmer and I wish there was shampoo and coffee maker in the room. Overall it was a good deal for a quick, budget stay walking distance from the Knotts!

Nothing everything was OK

The location was good . Easy to get to. It was quiet.

Our rooms were disgustingly dirty around, under , and behind the beds. There was dirt, trash, used fingernails and sexual toys (handcuffs) under the bed that my son found.

I liked the location of the facility and that there were places to eat within walking distance. And the parking was good.

The check-in attendant was VERY rude!! The shower in the room was dirty and didn't drain. I was standing in water during my shower. When we called to let the attendant know he told us where we could find a plunger and to plunge it ourselves. When that didn't work he told us that he would give us our money back and that we could leave. Then he offered us a different room. When he arrived at our room to take us the next room he started yelling at me and accusing me of trying to get a free room. Any time I tried to say something he would start talking over me.
