We were a multi-generation family staying at this lovely lake house for July 4 weekend. We had a wonderful time. The house was clean with plenty of room for everyone. The pool table was a big hit with lots of games between the grandparents and teens. There is a peninsula on the lake very close by where we would walk most evenings, and we walked there the night of the 4th and were able to see so many fireworks! Grocery store in Monticello was convenient and easy. This is a nice house for a family vacation.

This property was immaculate on the inside and nicely arranged and equipped. If I had one wish, it would be for the patio and fire pit furniture to have been cleaned off. It was pretty grungy and we had no way to clean it.

The inside of the housw was very clean and spacious. The bedrooms and bathrooms were on each level, which was great for privacy. The outside furniture and floors were very dirty and unusable. The furniture was moldy and very dirty and wet. The kayak was broken and unusable. The property also lists the use of a community pool, but the passes have been expired for 2 years so we were denied entrance. The a/c was broken and the host did not want to pay for a tech to come and repair. Overall we had a good time exploring the surrounding towns, but would not stay at this property again.

The house was pretty nice and in a nice area, I would have definitely booked again but to my surprise we never got our deposit back. Daniela said this was due to damage but never provided proof. Typically a damage deposit is for damage items that need to be bought again. Not for regular usage, that’s why we paid a hefty cleaning fee. She mentioned there were scuffs on the wall, little things to keep our deposit. So if you book this rental be sure to film everything once you get there. She noted that we didn’t leave her hot tub clean, when it never worked for us, i spent a lot of time trying to get her to provide instructions but none were given just a “ I don’t know what to tell you” the house had dirty under the dinning table and couches. It looked like whoever cleaned did it very surface there is no deep clean in the house because the decks were flooded with leaves but duck deces too. The lighting to the deck is very dim so my cousins felt a few times going down the fire pit. Additionally the bunk beds are very cheap beds, so unless you have small children you are better off sleeping on the couch.Daniela also had another trip and she only could communicate through the app which was a bit frazzled because at times the service was so bad that the app didn’t work. Also bring all your basic toiletries this is the first rental I’ve been to were they only provided, hand soap, paper towel, toilet paper and towels only, there was no shampoo or body wash.
