Located just a few ( uphill) blocks from the Plaza, this home was perfect for our Santa Fe base of operations. It was comfortable and clean and was just what we wanted (two couples and a small dog)

The biggest problem with this rental is the company. I would think twice about renting from this company again. It is not a real property management company, it is merely a platform to list the home. There is a local person who does maintenance and arranges cleaning, but this person is impossible to reach. You have to text or call the main company, which puts you on hold or does not respond for up to a day. There are no instructions given for how to use anything or where anything is. The home was nice, in an old adobe. The place could use a little TLC and a refresh. One of the doors kept sticking so one of us couldn’t get out of the bedroom. The furniture is old and heavy and not very attractive, and the linens are old and worn. The living room furniture is not very comfortable, especially the two heavy wooden chairs opposite the couch. The place is small, and it’s easy to keep bumping into the heavy large old furniture. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is the one part that is modern and very well-appointed, with new appliances that work well. The washer and dryer is excellent. The individual room air conditioners work well. The bathroom that is inside one of the bedrooms is much too small. The larger, nicer bathroom is in the hallway. It seems the en-suite was added on after the home was built. There is an advantage to having it in the room, but it’s still too small with little room for your stuff, or to even turn around. The back yard is beautiful!

This agency is not the owner and seems to just be a platform to list a home. It is difficult to reach someone who can help you with any problems. The home is in a great location, the back yard is lovely. The kitchen has a lot of room and the appliances are new. The furniture is old, the rooms are on the smalller side (especially the en-suite bathroom, though we did appreciate having it in our room).

This is a tale of two reviews: the property itself, which we enjoyed, and the property management company (Vacasa), which was horrendous.The property itself was lovely and as advertised; comfortable and basically clean, although since it’s pet-friendly additional care needs to be taken to ensure pet hair is vacuumed up more thoroughly. Fireplace is a little sad (electric), knives are still dull (see earlier reviews) and the dishwasher doesn’t clean dishes. Plus — cockroaches. Ick. As for Vacasa: awful. Completely unresponsive (as in, on hold for half an hour on check-in — we had a basic question we needed assistance with — they never picked up) — also didn’t respond to the “chat” option. They offered us a late checkout for a 50 fee which we took them up on, only to find out that they never processed this late checkout with the electronic door lock company which resulted in our being locked out of our house. No apologies, wholly unprofessional — completely unimpressed and will never rent again where Vacasa manages.
