The Neighborhood:
Enjoy this beautiful, thriving seaside town! You have an extensive range of cafes and restaurants in town and an array of boutiques and gift shops for a spot of retail therapy. Rest and relaxation is made easy with everything just at your fingertips. You can soak up the vibrant atmosphere of the regular festivals and events hosted by Apollo Bay or head off the beaten track on one of the varied walks on the beach or in the rainforest Apollo Bay has to offer. Enjoy Tastes of the Region at our local Brewhouse, savour finely roasted coffee in the industrial chic café Hello Coffee or indulge in a delightful treat at our famous bakery.
Getting Around:
It is very easy to navigate around the Apollo Bay region by car and plentiful parking in town. The Apollo Bay to Colac bus departs every Wednesday and a daily return service from Apollo Bay to Melbourne via Geelong (bus to Geelong followed by Vline train to Southern Cross Station in Melbourne). The Vline bus from Geelong to Apollo Bay includes a stop at Skenes Creek. Marengo is about a 25 minute walk or short taxi ride from the centre of town. Hordern Vale is a bit further along the Great Ocean Road and easier to access by car. It is possible to get there via tax also. The Apollo Bay Taxi is also available on (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN).
Other Things to Note:
Apollo Bay provides all of the services and amenities of any main town, including hospital, vet, police and fire brigade. You will find contact details for these in the Great Ocean Road Escapes compendium at your property.
The Beach Hut is not suitable for infants. We do not have baby-friendly amenities such as a cot, or high chair. baby mattress, bed guards, and the like. Many thanks.

Apollo bay has a beautiful beach and the property is just a short walk away. Groceries can be found right next to the property that has convenient onsite parking. There are two other huts annexed to this one. Athough we had the middle hut, we were not disturbed by the others.
Sue was easy to reach, and when we broke one glass she handled it professionally.
Overall a pretty good stop on one’s great ocean drive!
