Quo Vadis Farm

This was a wonderful getaway, tucked in the midst of the himalayan foothills. A cosy hillside farm with sprawling fields, trails through pine forests and quiet spots to just sit and seep in the beauty around gave us a very relaxing and rejuvenating experience. All this was topped by excellent food ( the owner's bakery was awesome) and very warm hospitality. The rustic beauty touched up by a very fine and sophisticated touch of taste by the talented owner was amazing! This is an offbeat spot, a bit remote, but the roads are well negotiable, quite easy to reach. Very pleasant weather.

The food is simply amazing. Farm fresh food and the owner has got awesome baking skills. If you want to stay away from the city...this is the place.

The quietness, the rustic ambience associated with a farm stay, the weather which was a welcome change from sweltering Kolkata heat. Over and above that loved Saknim's homely, rustic and quirky decor. The old house very elegant in its old world charm and the new cottage in its homely simplicity. Loved the organic garden in the property, all very lovingly cared for. Also the home made food was entirely to our liking. All the 5 days we stayed, there was never a repeat meal. And kids loved it. Also the sincerity and friendliness of the owners made it a memorable stay. We do plan to return.

It has nothing to do with the property per se, but the village roads need to be constructed well and fast. They are rather rough.
