Casa Xavier

The apartment is located in the town of Ponta Delgada. There are a few restaurants (as there are everywhere on the island), a playgarden down the street, and nice ocean views. It is a bit of a drive every day to the main attractions, but with the island so small it did not bother us too much. The apartment is spacious enough for a family of three. The bed was very comfy, and the bathroom also ticked the box comfort-wise. The kitchen had all you need in terms of appliances and cutlery. Except for a dishwasher.

Parking was not see easy. There is a parking spot beside the house but it is shared with the apartment next door. We were unlucky that are neighbours always arrived earlier. We had to park near the church, which is not that far but a steep uphill walk. There are some friendly cats wandering around. Very cute, but they keep inviting themselves in. You need to be quick with opening and closing the door sometimes, as they sneak in, in a blink of an eye. But they are friendly, so all good. While there was a babybed, there was no baby chair, just something to be aware of. The apartment is not cleaned very thoroughly we had the impression. The showerheads were rusty, there was still old food and dirt on the kitchen floor, and the garbage from the previous guests was still in the bins. The apartment could use a deep clean.

Lovely little village. It has a garden which was great! A lovely view down to the coast from the garden. Comfortable bed. All the basics needed. We fell in love with Flores here.

Although it had a small garden with a lovely view, there was no furniture or way to enjoy it - which was a real shame. We had lovely weather, and the apartment itself is a little dark, we ended up sat outside on the grass quite a bit.

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich sauber und super ausgestattet. Die Lage ist gut, man ist zu Fuß schnell am Meer und Restaurants sind auch nicht weit weg.

Very comfortable stay. Appreciated the washing machine and great shower.
