Very comfortable with many things provided. Lovely quiet location.

Easy to open the automatic gate into the property and the key to the rooms in a lock box - also easy. Situated in a beautiful area, particularly the Leeds-Liverpool Canal. Very quiet room. Convenient distance to the event I was attending for the two days

I had difficulty working the electric cooker.

The cottage is beautiful, a wonderful big bath that can easily fit two people, the sofa and bed were also very comfortable. Exceptionally quiet and peaceful, stepping out to horses, donkeys, the canal and river paths was lovely. The home had everything you needed for a relaxing stay.

The annex (as the owner called it) was attractive and quite nicely furnished with private parking.

I didn’t like not being able to use the hob to cook. I contacted the owner who referred me to the user manual - which did not exist, or if it did, I could not find it. I didn’t contact her again as she seemed irritated by my question. I also had to go and buy a cotton sheet as there was plenty of cold-weather bedding on the bed but no plain cotton sheets for the heatwave we were having. The accommodation had a constant and quite overwhelming smell caused by a plug-in air freshener which made me wheezy due to the chemicals. I unplugged it as soon as I saw it but the smell lingered for the duration. As I could not use the hob I thought I would try the air fryer. It was on top of a high unit and very heavy, so being alone and not very tall I struggled to get it down safely. When I did get it down it was obvious that it had not been cleaned since the previous user, so I didn’t want to use it.
