Beautiful and spacious

Absolutely loved my stay here, what a beautiful place and it truly felt like a home from the moment I arrived. Each room was decorated to such a high standard, the kitchen and bathroom were my favourite spaces, that shower is amazing and so spacious. The lounge was bright and airy and the view was just beautiful.. I also enjoyed the people watching!! Smart TV was a real treat for me as I don't have one at home. I enjoyed the movie choice. The location of the cottage is perfect right in the town and parking is nearby and reasonably priced. Thank you to my hosts I will definitely be back soon.

One tiny thing is I think curtains would be nice in the bedroom to make it a bit darker. It wouldn't put me off staying again though because I loved it all so much!

Dove Cottage our home away from home

Dove Cottage appeared recently renovated, very clean and with everything we needed. The welcome pack of coffee, tea, milk, cake and biscuits was very generous

Our stay at Dove

Dove Cottage was close to all the shops in Ruthin town. We couldn't fault the Cottage. It was spick and span. The owner had tea, coffee, sugar and milk ready for our arrival. We enjoyed our time staying in the cottage it was really comfortable and cosy.

We didn't like the car parking facilities. We parked our car after 5 pm at Market Street car park but every morning we had to get up and either pay for parking or go sightseeing. Parking is free after 5 pm in a few car parks otherwise you pay for parking from 8 am - 5 pm. We couldn't fault the Cottage only the parking.

Highly recommend staying at Dove Cottage while visiting Wales.

The location was perfect. Basically in the Square. Beautiful view of the mountain out the window.

Enjoyed the location, comfort and cleanliness of the cottage

The location was excellent, the cleanliness and comfort of the property, lovely bathroom and sitting room. There was free parking a little way away which was easy to access.

To improve the guest experience the kitchen requires some additions. The table and chairs needs to be at a proper height to allow you to be eat. It looks stylish but it is unusable. The host said she was aware of the problem, as other guests had commented and that she would be resolving this issue shortly. However, I was very surprised when she said it had been like this for a year, yet nothing had been done in that time! The issue is the breakfast bar table is very tall and the chairs are an ordinary height, too low for the table height, so do not allow you to sit comfortably to eat, unless you want your chin on the table! The kitchen equipment was very sparse: no teapot or cafetiere, one egg cup!, no oven dishes to allow you to use the oven if you cooked, other than the grill pan. Many guests take self catering to allow them to cook, especially if they have special dietary requirements. If these aspects of the cottage were improved I am sure it would have been a more enjoyable stay.

We had a great 4 days

Location in the town centre of Ruthin, with all you need is 10 minutes walking distance. The style is modern and equipped with all we needed. The layout of the rooms is different but very interesting. I recommend giving it a try. The area is good to explore.

Dove Cottage was very cosy and spotless. It had everything we needed for cooking, a lovely sitting room and very comfortable bed.
