Absolutely lush! Cozy, clean, comfortable, well-appointed and beautifully decorated “home away from home”, in a quiet location with dedicated parking space and within walking distance to the village. The welcome package with breakfast items left for us by the owner was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. The beds and furnishings were all extremely comfortable and of high quality, and the home was fully equipped to meet all of our needs, and then some. Wi-fi worked very well. The garden was lovely, we enjoyed watching the bees, butterflies, birds and squirrels and waking up to birdsong every day. Throughly enjoyable, relaxing and comfortable stay and would highly recommend.

Just a caution that this property may not be suitable for older or less mobile guests, with the internal stairs to the bathroom and bedrooms being typically quite steep, and the shower is over the bathtub without grab rails or a non-slip mat, creating a potential risk of slipping. The second bedroom upstairs becomes quite hot overnight due to heating and hot water equipment located in a vented cupboard (which could be a little noisy at times), which was alleviated by opening the window to cool the room down to sleep comfortably. No top sheets on the beds, so if the duvet becomes too warm there is no sheet to sleep under. (Note: this probably wouldn’t be an issue in winter! but the weather was very warm during our stay)

The host left a beautiful card welcoming us to their home, together with an unexpected welcome package which was lovely and so appreciated. The place itself was easily found, key collection very straight forward and more than sufficient car parking. Inside was beautifully decorated, all high quality appliances, with everything you might need for your home away from home. Location is so very peaceful but not in the middle of nowhere, so you can easily get to a pub or supermarket but still enjoy the quiet.
