Owl Barn

Very well equipped. Great size property. Secure garden for dog. Lots of books/games.

Very warm due to heaters. Creaky floors. Very difficult to locate initially ( reflective post ) or what 3 words.

Owl Barn was very comfortable for our family. This place is quiet and had a special "countryside feeling", exactly what we needed. We enjoyed our time.

We had some difficulties finding the barn, but the owner was very helpful in navigating us.

Very quiet location and easy access to coastal towns. It was very warm in the house and lots of chance to open doors and windows to enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. Lots of space for our family and in-laws. The cottage has everything you need and it very quaint. Our children loved the games that were available and all the books.

It is a very old cottage, it is comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need but it is very dated. The property was clean but needs updating. Lots of cobwebs and dust in the rafters and corners of the stone floors. None of the decor matches and the beds are quite bumpy. Parking is a real pain as the neighbours clearly do not like visitors. Understandably so when they are permanent residents but with two vehicles, it was tricky. We came to an amicable agreement but with 6 people this was a concern. There is only one wardrobe with hanging space which wasn’t ideal.

Location is excellent, property is a good size for with 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a decent size lounge/dining area. Parking for 1 car outside the property and space at the beginning of the lane for additional. Extensive book collection, games and information about the local area. Kitchen was provided with bread, eggs and milk.

Lovely property in general but it could probably do with a refresh soon; of note the garden was inaccessible as the back door lock did not work, the back bedroom had a red light bulb which was slightly strange and the bathroom door upstairs failed to properly shut due to distortion of the door. I did not mention this to the owner as we were only staying for 1 night.
