About this house rental
Welcome to this charming cottage set in a wonderfully peaceful environment — perfect for a relaxing holiday surrounded by beautiful nature, tall trees, and lush greenery. The cottage is located a short distance from the lovely, shallow lake Kråksjön, and the large natural plot offers plenty of space for play and outdoor activities. In Skruv, you will find a nice bathing lake where you can also buy a fishing license and go fishing. The kitchen is a compact kitchenette equipped with hotplates, a coffee maker, and a microwave. In the living room, there is an open fireplace that creates a cozy atmosphere and invites you to relaxing evenings if the weather turns chilly. The cottage dates back to the 1800s and has preserved its historic charm. The ceiling height upstairs is 185 cm, typical for houses of that time. Please note that the staircase to the upper floor is steep. Upstairs, under the sloping ceiling, you will find two bedrooms: one with two single beds and one with a double bed. The fresh bathroom was renovated in 2003 and includes a toilet, shower, and washing machine. Outside in the garden, there is a lovely patio where you can fire up the grill on a warm summer evening — and with a bit of luck, you might even spot a moose at the edge of the forest. An excursion to the various glassworks in Emmaboda, Kosta, and Nybro — with shopping in several outlet stores — is usually a popular activity. In Lessebo, you can shop and also visit the old paper mill to see paper being produced in the traditional way. You will be staying in the famous “Emigrant district,” an area strongly influenced by Wilhelm Moberg’s story The Emigrants and the lives of the people who once lived here. Welcome to a wonderful holiday close to nature, where you can enjoy peace and quiet while still having access to a range of exciting excursion destinations!
