Spacious Home w/ King Bed - mid of Kemah and Galveston

Property was not clean with sticky residue on the floors and inside of freezer was dirty. Also, we saw multiple roaches in the house. The freezer/refrigerator also did not work. Lost multiple cold grocery items of about 50. Messaged the host about it and did not reply back until after we checked out. Neighborhood was very sketchy but no one bothered us.

This was a very convenient location. Had everything we needed and beds were comfortable.

The refrigerator wasn’t getting cold….some of our food was ruined. The tub and shower had hair in them. Not what we expected compared to some of the other places we’ve stayed.

All in all a good stay but I would change the stove the knobs can be turnd on by accident rubbing against them and that could be fatel

We had an amazing stay ! No complaints the neighborhood is a little questionable but we had no issues with anyone everyone keeps to their self. Also just want to note the property doesn’t have a lot of pits and pans and cooking utensils so do keep that in mind otherwise I loved it here !!

Spring break vacation

The house was really nice and well kept the neighborhood was a little off but wasn’t to bad the dryer in the Home destroyed multiple items of our clothing and all the dishes looked like they had been washed but we’re still very dirty and there were no sponges but over it was a nice place and we really enjoyed our stay

Once receiving the address of this location we went to Google maps for directions and location to see what was around. I tell you before you book, GOOGLE map. Pictures of the house are beautiful. I can’t speak on the house itself because we didn’t go. Once I realized what neighborhood the house was in, I knew I wouldn’t be going. I reached out the property owner who was communicative and expressed my concerns. Hoping she would understand my concerns and either let me cancel or give a partial refund back. She indicated she wouldn’t. Which was fine, my mistake for even booking this property. What has caused me to leave this review is the property owners attitude. She not only wanted me to cancel on my end so but she wanted to me to cancel so she could open the date up for someone else. She also contacted VRBO demanding that they reach out to me and make me cancel. VRBO indicated that in no way did I have to cancel so she could get more money. I even reached out to the owner and indicated that I would be willing to cancel so someone else could stay if she would issue a partial or full refund. She chose not to. I chose not to cancel. Research the neighborhood and the crime/noise rate before going to this area. You will be shocked.
