Enjoy a classic summer experience at Happy Harbour, a two-bedroom, lakefront cottage on the shores of Portage Lake in Onekama. You'll have a grassy lawn in the back leading down to 40 feet of private lake frontage.
Whether you're hoping to spend your days swimming, kayaking, or simply relaxing in the summer sun, you'll be in just the place to do it. There's a sunny deck overlooking the lake where you can bring your breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, as well as an outdoor firepit where you can roast marshmallows nightly. Other amenities include a fully appointed kitchen, an indoor dining table for six, a living area with a TV, and a private washer/dryer. Please note that this property does not have A/C.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

The location was perfect for our needs; on the lake, close to family and "town". The home itself was perfect for our family of 4. Plenty of room for us and then some. The kitchen supplies (utensils, cookware, etc.) were not optimal; hard to cook nightly meals without the proper cookware, but we made do.
There were little to no instructions from the current property management company (found the former company's "Welcome" folder) on where anything is located, in the home or around the surrounding area(s), nothing informing us of trash day and where to find the bags necessary for putting the trash out (thank goodness for the neighbors).
All in all we had a great time!

We stayed here for my parents' joint 80th birthday party and spent most of our time at their house. The house was clean and sufficient for our needs.
