Casa Medici - Boutique Apartment near Duomo

We just finished a 28 day stay at Casa Medici and it was fantastic. The main room is open concept (kitchen dining living room) is very spacious. The high ceiling (15ft.) give it a very airy feel. The bedroom has ample storage and the king size bed is extremely comfortable. The half bath attached to the bedroom is a great feature. The master bath is very roomy as is the shower. The Wi-Fi is very fast and stable. The A/C works very well. Once outside the door, to the right about 50 ft away is a PAM supermarket that is excellent for picking up day to day things. The Carrefour market is 5 min away on Via Torino. They are a bit bigger and have prepaid food and a salumiera. The local restaurants are very good (the Hostress will provide a list) but the location makes it easy to walk to restaurants all over central Milan. To wrap it up, we felt at home in Casa Medici and I cannot wait to stay here again

Very centrally located, easy walking distance to 4 separate subways, quiet & dark at night for sleeping. Good restaurants nearby & two grocery stores.

We are three girlfriends who stayed in the apartment for a long birthday weekend. Location, accessibility, and cleanliness were more than we could have asked for. Would go back to the apartment any time. The landlady was very clear in explaining everything and flexible to give us extra time on the checkout day. She always responded within minutes. Very happy with our choice.

Pros: The apartment is beautiful and in a nice location. Cons: I was asked to pay 50 Euros just before checking in, in order to be able to use the second bed in the apartment. This charge could not be found anywhere on the property listing and when I pointed this out to Katia, she said that this was VRBO’s mistake, not hers and she couldn’t do anything about it. By refusing to acknowledge responsibility ( as the owner/ manager should be responsible for the accuracy of the listing), she has come across as someone who tries to extort you at the last minute. She has also suggested that I should share a bed with my traveling companion, which I find highly inappropriate for a host! In fact, I booked this apartment specifically because the listing included 2 beds in 2 different rooms - we were just 2 people traveling - but Katia said that if 2 people were traveling, they were supposed to share a bed, otherwise the 50 euro charge would become effective, to account for the extra laundry needed for the second bed. Although I find this charge to be absolutely excessive for laundering an extra set of sheets,I wouldn’t have minded if it had been disclosed at the time of booking.
